Nate takes safety seriously.

You should too.

These two friends were sharing a scooter. This little girl is trying to help her friend put on a helmet which is obviously too small.

Once all fasteners are tightened to proper torque specs, safety wire is inserted and twisted, a very common requirement in the aviation field (7-29-2011).

He insists on wearing his helmet, even if he is just riding his bike on the deck. No lighting here, just a large white panel reflector on camera right.

Sunderland International Airshow is the biggest free annual airshow in Europe, held near the Roker and Seaburn seafronts. It takes place over the course of two days, normally the final weekend in July and attracts around 1,200,000 spectators every year. The airshow features a large number of planes, including the Red Arrows and the Eurofighter Typhoon. In addition to the planes, the seafront plays host to a range of food counters, stalls and fairground games. The Royal Navy traditionally have a warship off the coast every year, usually the HMS Ocean, the adopted warship of Sunderland, however in 2007, HMS Albion made an appearance instead as HMS Ocean had other commitments. The airshow was first held in 1988, and was planned to be a one-off event, when it attracted 250,000 spectators. Due to thick fog and mist in 2008, the airshow was practically cancelled and only one plane was flown, the Belgian F-16 flown by Mickey Artiges on the Sunday

this place was pretty hilarious in many ways, one of them being the fact that when the kids got on their bikes with training wheels, they had to put on helmets. actual bike helmets. i can tell you that i have *never* seen anyone wear a bike helmet while riding a bike in gwangju. ever. the concern for safety is pretty laughable.

A rule that is now routinely ignored on the CTA 'L" these days. In fact, it's become quite the fad. I often wonder why people do this. Is one car better than the other? I don't think so.

Anyway, this is on CTA car #4412, now preserved at the Fox River Trolley Museum.

I don't think safety were his first thought
