United States Army Garrison Fort Hamilton's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation provided the first 100 attendees with a Chicken sandwich proudly sponsored by Chick Fil-A, at the Garrison's Safety Awareness Day event held on June 29th, 2023, in support of National Safety Month.
Service members, employees, and their families were strongly encouraged to attend this significant event. Participating agencies included the Fire Department of New York, New York City Police Department, New York State Troopers, Directorate of Emergency Services, New York Army National Guard, and Army Community Service.
Senior Army leaders had urged Soldiers, Department of the Army civilians, and their family members to educate one another on risk and influence behaviors concerning preventable injury and death, this month and throughout the year. (U.S. Army photo by Mark Getman- Fort Hamilton Public Affairs)

A Syrian partner force element fire their AK-47 Kalashnikov rifles on a firing line in controlled bursts during an advanced marksmanship training event with Coalition Forces instructors in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve in the Dier ez-Zor Province, Syria, Jan. 18, 2019. Through this training, the partner force learns to adjust their fighting stance as needed for maximum efficiency.
