This Deathtrap wants you to be sure that when you instant death, you instant death safely. Its the same Bucyrus crane pictured elsewhere in the album.
Should have done this last year but better late than never. The waterproof cell phone holder doesn't work for my phone, but it'll keep my car keys dry. An air horn, and rope to be made into tow ropes as soon as I pick up a some carabiners and some D-Ring thingys.... I still have to figure out how to keep a bailing container in the kayak - more youtube video's and I'll have it sorted in no time. There are a few bandages too - waiting for my first aid kit to arrive - it'll be one I keep in the car - properly stocked for mishaps. Will be adding a few more zip-lock bags and a proper dr ybag.

A Pokemon can be seen via a smartphone app called "Pokemon Go" on the grass in front of Old Post Chapel on the Fort Myer portion of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall July 14. JBM-HH law enforcement officials are reminding all who work, live and visit the joint base to be cognizant of safety and traffic regulations while participating in the game on any portion of the joint base. We got to see an 80% eclipse in our area - it was something! I was ready with the eclipse glasses, which gave me a nice view but no photos.
I made a pinhole viewer so I could try to grab a shot - behold the Puma Box Pinhole Viewer. And it worked!
Shot on the left is kind of what I saw in the box. Tough to get the right exposure in a dark box in one hand and a heavy camera in the other.
And then there were the shadows through the trees!
Already am planning to go to Burlington in 7 years to see the next one. I'll get a solar filter for the camera for that one.
I had to sneak into the old CNW facilites at Chadron- just to see what was left. Imagine my delight when I found the turntable still proudly displays it's "Safety First" slogan on it's flanks. This was the diesel maintenance point for the CNW's Western Division fleet until it's closing in 1992- it is now part of the Nebkota railway's operations.
