After asking the Police and Coastguard where it was safe to be and at which time, I got these pictures.
Basically keep away from the cordonned off areas and away from the edges of the dunes (and obviously, keep off the dunes!). Do what I did, use a zoom!
In all the years I have been going down here to photograph the dunes, today was the worst I have ever seen.
Tonight 18/03/2018, I expect there to be at least 2 or 3 homes lost to the sea, I hope I am wrong.
Thanks again to the Police for their advice.
Oh and sorry the pictures are a little oof, my eyes are not as they were, looks loike autofocus from now on :-(

Safed or Tzfas is a city in the Northern District of Israel. Located at an elevation of 900 metres (2,953 ft), Safed is the highest city in the Galilee and in Israel. Since the 16th century, Safed has been considered one of Judaism's Four Holy Cities, since that time, the city has remained a center of Kabbalah, also known as Jewish mysticism.
The Ari Ashkenazi Synagogue, located in Safed, Israel, was built in memory of Rabbi Isaac Luria, (1534 - 1572), who was known as the "Ari".It dates from the late 16th-century, it being constructed several years after the death of Luria, a great kabbalist who arrived in Safed in 1570. The synagogue is known for its colorful and ornate Holy Ark. It may be the oldest synagogue in Israel that is still in use.
