Our third day of our Washington-Oregon wine tour found us staying in Dundee, Oregon at a VRBO home we rented. The theme of the home was most definitely hunting and here is one of my friends checking out the very large safe in the living room that we assumed was holding the gun collection.
Creative Electric's "Safe House Boat", behind the Sample Room on the river. I got some cool video. One highlight - chatting with Phil Harder and Grant Hart about Phil's "iRaq" film looping on the boat, which he never shows because he got hired to direct an actual iPod commercial.
We plan to return tomorrow to see The Owls play on a motorless pontoon.

All profits raised will go to SAFE@LAST, a registered charity working with and on behalf of young people at risk through running away. SAFE@LAST are based at Dinnington, near Sheffield and were established in response to an acute need for services for the 1 to 9 children under the age of 16 in South Yorkshire who are affected.
Since 2005 SAFE@LAST has worked with over 4000 young people and has made a difference to the lives of the great majority of them. SAFE@LAST is seeing great results from their work and, as a result, their staff and volunteers are receiving awards for their contribution to Social Care in South Yorkshire and being consulted for their expertise and knowledge in this area.

The duck pond at Cosley Zoo is being drained and cleaned. There is also some construction going on so everything is a bit out of sorts not just for the visitors but also for the animals. This little duck managed to get away until he was rescued bu these dedicated workers.
Alex Kitty was a little stressed after his disappearance yesterday and snuggled up with me on the couch last night - Here he is after I got up to get ready for bed. All snuggled up in his Harley Davidson throw.
He followed me up to bed and slept with me all night !!! He never comes up to the bedroom at night as Twiga & Cinnamon scare him off at bedtime. I guess his need to feel safe was stronger than his fear of his elder "sisters" bulling him.....
He will now have a forever home here with me. :-)
