Naked in front of the window of my hotel room, I take some pictures playing with light and mirrors. I see people walking by in the street. Some of them have probably seen me naked in front of my window. 👀😜

Safed or Tzfas is a city in the Northern District of Israel. Located at an elevation of 900 metres, Safed is the highest city in the Galilee and in Israel. Since the 16th century, Safed has been considered one of Judaism's Four Holy Cities, since that time, the city has remained a center of Kabbalah, also known as Jewish mysticism.

Buttershaw St Paul's on the defensive at Berry Lane during an 80-run victory over Great Preston in the first round of the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League's Jack Hampshire Cup. It was a meeting of the top two in the league's Conference division. Victory enabled Buttershaw to extend to five games their 100 per cent start to the 2016 season. A partnership worth 88 for the sixth wicket between Benjamin Platt (52no) and James Robson (48) saw Saints recover from 87-4 to post a total Great Preston's slipshod batting never threatened to get anywhere near. The visitors clinched a place in round two by taking all but one catching opportunity.

Great Preston have played on the Berry Lane ground since their formation in 1884. Their original name was Great Preston Old Hall Cricket Club. Owing to the village's geographical position, close to the boundaries of East, North and West Yorkshire, Great Preston have played in several leagues, namely the Sagar-Musgrave Challenge Cup (1891), the Woodlesford & District (1893), the Barkston Ash (1899), the Leeds (1970), the Wetherby (2000) and the Central Yorkshire (2015). They moved competitions against over the winter of 2015-16 when the Bradford and Central Yorkshire leagues merged to create a four-division structure.
The village has close links with coal mining. The National Coal Board bought the Berry Lane ground in 1947 and erected a new pavilion, extant today. Subsidence caused by mining meant in the 1974 season Great Preston had to play every game away from home. Closure of the village's miners welfare in 2006 threatened the club's existence but the efforts of the committee and the community ensured they survived. Under a naming rights sponsorship deal, the Berry Lane ground is this season known as the Neil's Carpets Oval.

Undercliffe Cricket Club, founded in 1875, have been members of the Bradford Cricket League since 1903, its first season. They have won the Division One championship eight times and lifted the league's Priestley Cup on 13 occasions. The latter featured a run of three triumphs in four seasons between 1972 and 1975. Undercliffe were Division Two champions in 2014.

JOHN PICKHAVER from Cornwall was called to a shop to investigate problems with the hot water supply, where he found the water heater had been installed on a staircase landing. The stairs led to an attic room that – at least since the heater had been installed – was only being used for storage. Steps taken were to ensure the door was sealed up and the attic room made accessible via another route. Also, the blow-off pipework was reconfigured correctly.

The other day we went to Tzfat, one of the four holy cities for Jews and the center of Kabbalah study. It was a grown-up trip. Petya rented a car, and we joined him. Tzfat is all about mountains, up and down, just like our Haifa. And lots and lots of Haredim—“those who tremble before God”—religious Jews. Yeshivas (institutions of higher learning in Judaism, where the Talmud and other traditional Jewish disciplines are studied, as well as preparing candidates for the rabbinate) are everywhere. Many young Haredi men with suitcases—they came to study.
We were, I believe, very lucky. We stumbled upon a wedding. I was hesitant to take photos. I suppose it’s a part of my current stage of growing older. But I couldn’t resist—I joined the crowd of photographers and clicked the button a couple of times. The bride was stunning.
The crowd was friendly. We went down another street because Petya wanted to visit a very old synagogue, the Abuhav Synagogue, with painted ceilings. We tried to bypass the wedding procession, which is no easy task in the narrow streets of Tzfat. And we ran into them again.
They were just entering the synagogue. We were invited in, too. Everyone was given a cookie.
