I took this picture in a gorgeous ELVION months ago. It was a night scene and, although I quite liked the composition, I wasn't very happy with the mood and it didn't really connect with anything that I wanted to explain. That is, until I had a clear idea of how to edit it. I transformed the cold dark tones of night into warm tones of a turbulent, post-apocalyptic dusk, when almost all hope is lost, one part of me feeling exactly like that. But at the very same time, another part of me would be represented by the horse grazing peacefully in the meadow, indifferent to the ominous sky threatening to fall over everybody's heads, perhaps because the plumed seeds of the dandelion were already commended with the wish for good things to happen. A wish that will never die.

Skylights in Porto = Clarabóias do Porto
I am going to post some photographs I took a couple of weeks before my "Quarantine" period started. I took these photographs because I would have a collective exhibit on the beginnig of March, and I chose "Skylights in Porto" as my theme, Porto has very beautiful skylights and I enjoyed doing this work.
Coronavirus was killing people in China, but everything seemed so far away and unlikely to disturb our tranquility...
Our exhibit was inaugurated on the 7th of March and a couple of days later it was closed because Coronavirus was already here too threaten our lives, and our tranquility had just ended...
Another period of our lives would start soon, the "Quarantine"...
The first photographs were taken in one of the most beautiful palaces in Porto, Palácio da Bolsa, where there are two beautiful skylights. But there are other skylights in old mansions of Porto, that I will post here too. I hope you enjoy this work.
I was lucky enough to have been given the time and opportunity to start all this photographic work. I only hope to be able to finish it soon.

This image reminds me of a photography outing I had back in 2021. I was on short term disability as I was dealing with post encephalitis symptoms. One of these symptoms was fear. Whenever I'd go out with my camera I'd be scared. I found myself staying at home more. This particular outing I had planned as my wife and daughter were on their annual camping outing. I headed out before the sun came out and reach this spot as the sun's rays peeked through the clouds. I remember vividly the fear I had when I was out there. As I look at this image I Thank God at how far I've come on this very long journey.

Lucky for us, they are so hard to explore and 2 days later we couldn't find them again. I hope they survived the stormy days and are safe and well.
