SWR Class 483 483008 is seen here arriving at Sandown with a train for Ryde Pier Head at dusk on 10th October 2018. The Class 483's usually run with three front headlights, the spacing of these being a direct throwback to the five headcode lights the units carried when operating on London Transport.
The station building at Sandown is now home to a successful venture known as 'The Gaslight Cafe' with regular music and theme evenings - the station still retains a bookstall and toilet facilities although I believe these are now run / maintained by the cafe owners.

SML1 is captured entering Harrogate Bus Station on the 77 from Wetherby via Sicklinghall in May 1968. According to my timetable, this must have been a Tuesday or a Saturday. This sparse service ran one journey from Harrogate to Sicklinghall and back daily and was then supplemented by other buses on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at different times. This was one of four Bedford Vams purchased in 1967 and, as far as I know, other than the WYRCC quartet, only Eastern Counties and Western National took the same chassis/body combination and only then in penny numbers. The LH body was well adapted for this use.

SWR class 444 unit no. 444042 shows signs of uneven cleanliness and uneven track alignment as it approaches Raynes Park as the 1T42 11:59 Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo service on 27th August 2018.
South West Trains attractive old white livery for the class 444 fleet was never the easiest to keep clean bun the application of new South Western Railways decals without cleaning the whole body makes the unit look somewhat unkempt.
