Kite Surfer with his Switch Blade Kite on the beaches of Jupiter, FL. The wind was blowing a consistent 20mph, and gusting higher. This was part of a jump competition.

I don't think I've ever seen a switch of this type before. It has a long vertical rod which is only partially visible here.

Remnants of an abandoned track run parallel to the active one, and it appears that most of the ties here run under the ballast where a switch may have been located....

Running from PRR's 25th Street line, this short stretch once accessed the "Mud Yard" as the company's Girard Point facilities were nicknamed due to being built from reclaimed marshland.
PRR operated a coal pier here along with the large Tidewater Grain complex (whose concrete silos stood derelict for over two decades before demolition began in late 2007)
Now reduced to one track, this line sees traffic serving the oil refineries that have gone up in the area....
IC 9635 with GTW 4929 pushing a covered hopper and a CN gondola car towards Central Junction after switching and fetching the gondola out of the Material Yard in Brookhaven, MS on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 12:27 p.m. (CDT).
He also didn't blow for the 2 grade crossings ahead because of the 2 conductors that were on the front hopper. This is an operation that I don't get to see very often... it's very cool seeing this.
