When I saw this light switch I couldn't help but wonder who was the last person to flick it off? What was it like for them to leave at the end of the last day and realize it would not be turned on again?

The new toggle switches have landed. Upon advice from one of the electrical technicians I am going to remove and swap out all of the old toggle switches not just the few that are obviously broken. This removes another common point of failure
This odd set of switches on the wall don't actually control anything, but if I toggle them just right a red light goes off accompanied by a very loud BUZZ! So I did what anyone else would do, I took a picture of it and stopped messing with it.

A switch connecting the mainline to the north throat of the new yard tracks at Bryant awaits installation. Yes, those are metal ties, something that the IANR is trying out on yard tracks for now. Says Chief Engineer Rod, "the metal ties definately have their advantages: they cost about the same as wood ties, you don't ever have to worry about trains widening the track gauge, and they'll last forever unless you use something corrosive on them." 7/19/07
While being quite the blatant copy of Mattel’s ‘Create-a-Monster’, I have to concede that I kinda like ‘Switch-a-Witch’ better. These two floral cuties, at least. (Seriously, Pinky’s eyes are AMAZING)
The Christmas Tree in front of Bangor Town hall was switched on today 22-11-08. It was preceded by a spectacular firework display complete with Christmas Music. Well done again North Down Borough Council and a Merry Christmas to one and all.
