This is the main on-off switch before rewiring. The flex (left) had been replaced before (and the person that did it didn't think to connect up earth) but the old original wire is in a sorry state (and probably not safe).

Southern Pacific NW2 #1423 pulls the Southern Pacific #9010, the last remaining Krauss-Maffei diesel-hydraulic locomotive, out of the restoration shop at the Niles Canyon Railway's Brightside Yard for a day out on the mainline for her 50th birthday. Unfortunately, to reach the 9010, the SP 1423 has to drag three other locomotives (including 9010's pusher, Southern Pacific SD9 #5472) with it.
