Abandoned steel mill switcher at the former Wheeling Steel Plant/Complex in Benwood, WV. Having seen it's better days the yard switcher is slowly rusting away on a rail spur. Mill closed in the late 1970's. Photograph taken September 2011.
Replacement light switch for a walk-in cooler or freezer. Has pilot light indicator. Available at walkincoolerparts.com
We have most of our related devices on switchable power strips so they can all be turned off with the flip of a single switch!
A BNSF Unit I photographed the other night is acting as a switcher at Amtrak's 14th Street Yards in Downtown Chicago with the Willis Tower (Former Sears Tower) in full view. It was switching out Train 383 which didn't leave til almost 7p !!!!
So I broke down and ordered a bukkumi bag from Switch when they were temporarily in stock. :B The box was huge! The package was cute, but I must say I was really hoping for one of the faceupped heads. Ah well, I do like the wigs I got, but I'll probably sell the Haji.
Xbox 360 Arcade GameStick by MadCatz
The Arcade GameStick came with
-Frogger (Full Game)
-Time Pilot (Full Game)
-AstroPOP (Full Game)
-48 hour Xbox 360 Live trial
This Mad MadCatz creation resembles the old school Atari controllers, it comes with some extra features that a standard 360 controller does not come with. A spinner control, 1,2,3 switch, and Turbo button.
The controller works with every Xbox game, but is most fun with Arcade games like Asteroids, AstroPOP, or fighting games like Street Fighter. Ive also tried it with community games like World Revolution. Though the controller looks very fun, it does take some getting used to.
Sadly I had a hard time playing games like Missile Command. The Joystick was a bit to sensitive. If there's anyone out there who knows how to mess with the sensitivity please post a comment.
Overall, its a good controller but is listed at the risky price of $39.99
Switching duties in the Benicia Trans-load Facility are never dull or boring during the day. Once night falls, the life around this area becomes even more interesting!

Just updating the photos of my collection. Some of them simply had a change of clothes/wigs/eyes, but others have had their bodies switched around, or got entirely new bodies/heads.

A couple of days ago, the dishwasher handle switch gave up again - Sugru wasn't rigid enough to hold its shape under regular compression and friction. So I measured out the critical dimensions, designed and printed off an insert to address the worn-down nubs.
Of course, once that was addressed the electronics died completely! They were already only half-working, but the previously-glitchy switches were probably what killed them in the end.
Replacement board(s) ordered. Once those arrive though, I think I'll reverse engineer the broken board and open source the results. Who knows what may result? ;-)
