It had to be done. Haha, I happened to be working on two Soseos, and just couldn't help taking a photo of them side by side.

I think this is one of my favorites. I love finding layer after layer of wallpaper. This was on the second level of the first house.

Christmas Lights Switch-On at Carlisle City Centre

Organised by Carlisle City Council, this free event will provide a packed family entertainment programme, to suit all ages. The star-studded Carlisle Christmas Lights Switch On stage will be in place in the city centre pedestrianised area, outside the Old Town Hall.

X Factor finalists ‘5 After Midnight’ will headline Carlisle’s Christmas Lights Switch-On event this year.

5 After Midnight rose to fame on The X Factor 2016 where they wowed TV audiences of millions week after week with their slick vocals and high energy dance routines, quickly gaining themselves a loyal fan base. Following the finale of the series, they signed to Syco Music, whose roster includes fellow X Factor alumni including Little Mix, Louis Tomlinson, James Arthur and Ella Henderson. 5 After Midnight are set to release four new tracks as part of a new EP called ‘The Sauce’ as anticipation for their debut album builds.

The 2016 finalists will be joined by other celebrity acts, The Beatbox Collective and Taken.

The Beatbox Collective are the reigning world beatbox champions. Individually they have won almost every beatbox competition in the world... together this vocal group creates a wall of sound.

Dublin's newest up and coming boyband 'Taken' have gone from strength to strength this last year. Made up of Ste Barron, Eoghan Mac Mahon and Richard Power, the band have toured the UK supporting acts including The Vamps and Union J, as well as headlining their own European tour this Autumn with multiple sell out shows in the likes of Newcastle, Glasgow, Dublin and Amsterdam.

Local dance groups and school choirs will join the celebrity acts at this year’s Carlisle Christmas Lights Switch On. There will be a showcase of local community groups and performers - Stevie D’s Faith, The Lakes Choir - Stagecoach Performing Arts; Kira Tickner; Carlisle Dance Academy and Stanwix Primary School.

The afternoon’s entertainment will also include a ‘stars of the future’ line up, including Jack Rose; Nathan Grisdale, Joseph and Thomas Teago.

The Mayor of Carlisle, Cllr Trish Vasey will trigger the lights in the city centre at 17:00. The Christmas Lights Switch-On is part of Carlisle's countdown to Christmas.

A couple of days ago, the dishwasher handle switch gave up again - Sugru wasn't rigid enough to hold its shape under regular compression and friction. So I measured out the critical dimensions, designed and printed off an insert to address the worn-down nubs.

Of course, once that was addressed the electronics died completely! They were already only half-working, but the previously-glitchy switches were probably what killed them in the end.

Replacement board(s) ordered. Once those arrive though, I think I'll reverse engineer the broken board and open source the results. Who knows what may result? ;-)

So I broke down and ordered a bukkumi bag from Switch when they were temporarily in stock. :B The box was huge! The package was cute, but I must say I was really hoping for one of the faceupped heads. Ah well, I do like the wigs I got, but I'll probably sell the Haji.

This is a photograph from the Rathfarnham 5KM Road Race and Fun Run which took place in Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin, Ireland on Sunday 29th September 2013 at 10:00.

This is one of the most popular runs in South County Dublin and is held in support of St. Luke's Cancer Hospital, Rathgar. This year's race attracted over 1,300 participants and the run is open to runners, joggers and walkers. The course is one of the fastest 5ks in the country with a downhill start and finish. This is an excellently organised race with marhsalling at every junction and Garda enforced road closures for the duration of the race.

This is a photograph which is part of a large set of photographs taken at the 1KM and 4KM mark on the course. The entire set of photographs can be found here on our Flickr profile at the following link: www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157635984917744/

To prevent missue of these photographs there is a watermark embedded into the images. All of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution without the watermark. We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images without the watermark: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.

This also extends the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.

Please email petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com with the links to the photographs you would like to obtain a full resolution copy of. We also ask race organisers, media, etc to ask for permission before use of our images for flyers, posters, etc. We reserve the right to refuse a request.

In summary please remember when requesting photographs from us - all we ask is for you to provide a link back to our Flickr set or Flickr pages. You will find the link above clearly outlined in the description text which accompanies this photograph. Taking these photographs and preparing them for online posting does take a significant effort. Friends of St. Lukes is one of the nominated charities for the event www.friendsofstlukes.ie/

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

A healthy cut of inbound empty cars holds the main as L555 pulls out of the mill and stops short. The Hayward Branch would make for a neat model layout given it's handful of mill spurs and small siding. Operationally, they build the outbound train, spot the inbound cars, then back the whole train out to Hayward Jct. using a caboose to protect a number of crossings. February 18, 2013.
