Sunday afternoon down by the sea.
This swan was feeding and this is the moment it popped back up to check on what I was up to!
A number of these swans overwinter at LaSalle Park in Burlington every year but some of them make their way over the bay to the Harbourfront Trail in Hamilton.

Spotted a couple Trumpeter Swans swimming along in Errock Lake on the way to Harrison Mills to check out the Bald Eagles.
I watched this Male Swan take a bath for about 45 minutes. What I saw and caught on camera makes my eyes well up with tears. I don't think I have ever seen anything so elegant and beautiful. I will be putting up more of the dance.

I captured this image on my very last visit of 2024 to RSPB St.Aiden's, Nr Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The low winter sun provided some fantastic light and colourful reflection on the water of the reed beds, allowing for me to create some dramatic end results.
