Sunday morning, woke up at 8am, kid was up too, so we had a jog around the neighbourhood, and I bring my Camera too, mounted the new 100L Macro, try to shoot something that I'm not used to shot. I kinda like it. The sharpness is crazy, bokeh is amazing. I like how you can isolate something and make it so pop out in an image.
By the way, anyone can tell me what flower is this? I have no idea, is this a dendelion?!

A short Sunday edition of 255 sprints across Central Illinois west of Curran.
I ended up chasing this train west to Arnold to milk it for all it was worth. I had forgotten just how fast these trains can move on the flat track between Springfield and Jacksonville when supplied with the correct amount of horsepower per ton. This guy was moving a shade over 60 mph according to my speedometer. And, unlike me, 255 didn't have to slow down for Loami Road, New Berlin, Alexander, and Orleans.

Yes, I saved this wonderful set of photos taken at VINS just for today's post. Don't even know why for sure. Except that Sunday's have always been my favorite day of the week -- always! Somehow, someway, this day had become my day of serenity, reflection, and gratitude -- a spiritual day that has nothing to do with religion, but more to do with looking back and looking forward. And of course always means trying to have a deeper understanding of what's important in life.
I absolutely LOVE the look in this Barred Owl's eyes!!! No matter which way he/she was looking, the eyes portray a deep sense of being "at one" with the universe -- absorbing the very essence of the world around, but also reflecting it back as a glorious GIFT to all of us who have been Blessed with even being close to such Spirituality.
I actually cried this morning when I watched this video of a Barred Owl being released back into the wild after being hit by a car, taken to VINS, and treated successfully. It's a little difficult to see unless you look close, but this Owl never takes it's eyes off Megan, seems to be almost leaning into her trustworthy body and hands, as the security measures taken to ensure a successful return to the wild are explained & the release put into place.

This second link is just a little more information about the impact and perils that the unusual weather patterns have on our glorious Wildlife:

On Sunday 2nd October 2016, Colas 60 , 60021, joins the ECML at Monktonhall Jcn with 6B32. This is the empty Aberdeen - Oxwellmains cement working which had worked up from Millerhill the previous day and could not return on the Saturday due to the ECML being shut due to Engineering work.
60021 is seen applying power at 1617 on the Sunday afternoon on the last part of its journey.

"On the fourth Sunday of Lent, then, the popes would bless the golden rose in Rome, and these would later be given to shrines of Our Lady, or to Catholic rulers. For this reason, because the blessing of the golden rose takes place on this day, so the custom arose of wearing rose-coloured vestments on the Fourth Sunday of Lent. It’s a rather roundabout way of getting to pink vestments, and indeed, they’re the most obvious difference that we see on Rose Sunday, but in fact, as is often the case with visible obvious things, they are probably the least important of all the rich liturgical and cultural and theological aspects of this Sunday in Lent. So, have a joyful and blessed Mothering Sunday, Mid-Lent, Refreshment Sunday, Rose Sunday or Lætare Sunday. Whichever you choose to call this day, let us, in the words of the Gradual, rejoice “at the things that were said to me: we shall go into the house of the Lord”."

This sunday the weather was crazy, changing costantly (as you can see from the shots), but we still enjoyed going around with our minicamper. And can you guess that Anthi was upset with us taking the mickey out of her every 5 secs without reason? We (especially Luna) love to do it...Poor Anthi!!
Enjoy your afternoon!
About this collage my flickr friend eyewrisz (Iris), gentle as always, says:
a collage of love taken by you
your family enjoying nature and her fickleness too
tormenting Anthi for fun and pleasure
is not something she is likely to treasure
To satisfy my English brekkie cravings, we ended up at Paddington's (again!) These hearty pancakes are just what was needed for a lazy Sunday brunch :)
Shoot Sunday 9: Here's my very inappropriate Shoot Sunday photo... Kaycee brought up the idea of recreating Blink 182's super famous Enema of State album cover, and I decided to take it another, perverted step further...

as I was driving around doing some early morning errands I came across this group of bicycle riders, actually it was several clubs meeting for a LA Harbor area bike ride.
Wearing super cute smock from House of Pinku (Thank you, Julie!!), petticoats from Parasol Doll (Thank you Maggie for giving us white petticoat as a gift!), and BHC boots.
Amtrak's Keystone Service train #664 accelerates from its station stop at Mt. Joy, PA on a Sunday morning. Directly in front of the train is the former Eby Chiques Road grade crossing that was removed a couple years ago when the last of the grade crossings on the Keystone Line were eliminated. A Cargill feed mill rises in the distance behind the train.
