Storms in the Daytona Beach area can be really beautiful things as they push out to sea. This front was preceded by impressive clouds that looked like piles of cotton balls stacked on top of each other and ready to fall off. They remained intact far out to sea.
No time to write about it right now.. Completely inundated with 100 Million things.
Basically:
>See sand storm
>Bike out to desert
>Mis-judge distance of storm
>Get stuck in it
>Become different skin colour
>Pretty sure I have a scratch on my eyeball
>Don't think it was worth the shot.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Grey clouds almost completely covered the skies pre dawn this morning, but I headed to one of my favourite beaches just incase Mother nature performed at sunrise, strong northerly winds whipped the beach and distant rumbles of thunder echoed around me, spotting rain, the skies did light with contrasts over the jetty... if you look closely there is also a small lightning strike where the stone wall meet the jetty.... Hudson was safely waiting in the car.
Aerial shot of a monsoon storm lit by lightning, off the coast of Sri Lanka. This shot was Highly Commended in low-light category of the 2014 Sony World Photography Awards.

These clouds had the most amazing hues of blue and other colors last night - not quite this dark, but intentionally underexposing brought out the colors more. SOOC. Please view large!
UP 4014 storms through the clouds and by the CP WX547 search lights at Tie Siding headed back home to Cheyenne. May 19, 2019
The storm didn't catch up with us until we were already settled back in on the bus. Did an entire tour of the North Shore and island for $5.50 using the public bus system. Got off where we wanted and stayed at each spot until we were ready to go on. Much better than any tour bus we have paid for in the past.

"Ya dinnae want tae be caught oot in that" said the old farmer. He was correct - 5 minutes later and storm force 100 mph winds, hail and snow hit. They were so powerful they cracked my cars windscreen. Taken at Dounreay, far north of Scotland.
