The view through my hotel sliding door during tropical storm Tomas last Saturday. Grand Barbados Hotel, Aquatic Gap, Carlisle Bay, Barbados, West Indies. The storm did a significant amount of damage in Barbados, developed into a hurricane and also affected St. Lucia and St. Vincent.
Five minutes later it started to rain and I made a hasty retreat. After another fifteen minutes it was glorious sunshine.
This is an image I shot on Monday of Storm Imogen hitting the coast near Godrevy Lighthouse in West Cornwall. The wind was blowing onshore at around 60mph. On the day of the Storm I started my coastal drive at Porthleven at 8am and followed the coast road via Marazion, Penzance, Porthcurno/Minack Theatre, Lands End, Sennen, St.Just, Bottallack, St.Ives , Hayle and arrived at Godrevy for sunset. At the height of the storm the wind speed was approaching 70mph in places. All great fun, if not a little dangerous!
Thanks for looking.

Photos from the severe thunderstorm that hit Last Chance, CO yesterday(5-7-16). Rotation in the clouds, an intense microburst and hail(pea sized mainly, some quarter sized and larger). The storm produced a weak and short lived tornado about 8 miles northeast of Last Chance, though we didn't see it.
I took this back in March 2010 after a storm had just passed through. I did a slight re-edit to pull out more colors. I love how much drama and depth this images has.
“I was always a thing
that was going to happen to you,
the lightning that would strike
on a day that came
with no thunder,
and all the shelter
in all the world couldn't have
saved you.
I've been making my way
to you.”

Lightning dances above my tree-across-the-field in the very early hours of the morning.
Taking the road less traveled trough the vaste lands of Iceland. As we got on the road i noticed the weather started to change. the further we got the crazier it went. I ended up standing in what at the moment felt like in the middle of nowhere in complete awe of what was infront of me. The sky showed me what was coming for me and the rainbow led us further into the storm.

What is becoming a rare event in Southern California, a storm brews off shore, slowly working its way toward the California coast. More please!

I love stormy weather and got down to the seafront before high tide .
I took 3 different cameras and stayed down here for about four hours to witness mother nature at full power at high tide.
I took my Pentax K5 llS, Nikon D700 and Nikon D800E and walked around a fairly small area for 4 hours and used all 3 cameras and tried to get some interesting shots from different angles and view points.
The weather changed quite a lot in this 4 hour period overcast, rain and brilliant sunshine so the images are very variable in colour as a result.
A couple of the images I was splashed with sea water which hit the lens, I think this created almost a painting type effect to them
Unprocessed photo taken in Kansas, U.S.A. Developing storms in the area. This photo has a yellow and triangular artifact that is/was not present on any other photos taken. As you can tell there is no sun from any angle. Any opinion on what the spot is?
