This was the end of another perfect day. May all your days have perfect ending. This was taken almost a month ago. I find myself day dreaming and this is what I see.
What can I say about Adam Lavell? I met him in the later part of 2016 and since then I have had this permanent smile on my face ever since. He is the most incredible, positive, motivational, kindhearted, gentleman I could of ever asked for. I look forward to each day I get to spend with him. We are constantly laughing, coming up with fun things to do together, enjoying anything and everything possible while we are making these incredible memories together. He has showed me what LOVE truly is!
Baby, I love you so very much! You are my world and I love how Our Love Story has been written so far and I can not wait to see what it brings ahead for us!

We took Alyeska on her very first hike with us. I was worried how her little body would manage and we went prepared with a bag to carry her in if needed. We chose a relatively easier/shorter trail but still with a moderate elevation gain, and she handled it without any problems while it actually left me winded after the climb!😅
I may not be the best story teller on this planet but this image sums up why I just love my woodland and forest photography. Again with time against me i had the morning fog on this short trip on my side.
I had caught maybe two images which was a slight downer, so I took a break and was just enjoying my tea and taken in the sounds and sights of nature.
Deep in thought I made myself a promise and it was to my new born grandson that when he is older and stronger I would always try in my spare time to show him these wonderful scenes in the woodlands and get him to learn and appreciate nature. With that in mind I packed the camera back in the bag and made my way back to home.
Then this image happened before my very eyes, the rest of the story you know, flapping like a mad man quickly got the camera out, shaking like a leaf admiring and composing all at the same time. Just wished my grandson was there at this moment to witness what beauty a little light provides in nature.
RKO_3744. How wonderful to meet with this young lion cub, obviously waiting for its mother to return. The curious cub looked straight towards me allowing for a wonderful portrait shot.
Somehow the image tells me it's looking at the television screen in front of him watching a movie and looking at some strange animals carrying metal tubes......😏

I recently finished reading a very interesting collection of short stories entitled Save Me Stranger, by Erika Krouse. The stories are pretty wild and go in all different directions with quite a large variety of main characters and settings. Many really made me think more deeply about life situations and reality.
In any case, the collection starts out with the following quote from Anaïs Nin:
"Stories are the only enchantment possible, for when we begin to see our suffering as a story, we are saved."
I've been thinking about that quite a bit and I immediately start thinking about how when you are going through a traumatic incident, it is sometimes helpful to picture yourself removed from your body, as if seeing it all from an existential distance.
How will we understand and tell our own stories with this huge change in history...this turmoil, these atrocities currently happening in our names. And, of course, the "winners" are the ones who get to write those stories but none of us are winning here. Some of us may be lucky to survive but that's about all. What we've all collectively lost is immeasurable, whether we write it down or not.
