Just as I was about to take this shot something startled the birds ... This is what I got.

Darn RATS... nearly gave me a heart attack!
I’m pretty sure this guy didn’t realise I’d taken a candid shot of him… I moved my camera around, standing in the same place, and took other shots…he just looked away and went on looking at his mobile!
I was pretty excited to find out that Be My Mannequin? Pose Store was coming to Chronicles & Legends: Deep Blue Sea! Knowing BMM?'s (Be My Mannequin?) attention to detail and how the poses are always so natural and versatile, I knew these MER poses were going to be amazing!

Now the really epic thing about these poses are that they are not only for mers, but for humans as well! That's right! As seen in the picture, all the poses will pose your human legs or mer tails!
Now while this set of Be My Mannequin?'s poses were meant for the Cynefin tails (Nemissa and Lorelei), they are also confirmed to work with: Cove's Tidal Tail, I Monster, Yabusake Betta, and GA.EG & Gaeline Creations. Your best bet is to DEMO the poses at the event!
In my picture, Vin (the red merman) is posed with one of the singles poses: Euphoria. Its intended to be a loop-the-loop with you being posed upside down! I simply adjusted for the picture!
Then there is Ana (the green mermaid) posed with the other singles pose: Exploring. Its a stunning swimming pose that would also double as a great flying pose!
I (the startled human) am posed with the couples pose of the set: No Escape. I'm using the 'Escaping Left' which was perfect for displaying the shocked reaction I was needing! Not shown in the picture is the other half of the pose: 'Escaping Right' and the two detailed tentacle props that wrap around your leg/tail! You can even transfer them to your friends!
You can see the rezzed out DEMO of the tentacle props at the Be My Mannequin? main store! There, you can also participate in a HUNT where you can find an additional singles pose for mers and humans called Sunning! More details can be found at the main store!
Chronicles & Legends is drawing to a close and will be ending on February 5th. However there is still time to go and DEMO these poses and snatch up the FATPACK: Unseen World before its too late!

Our small boat had been drifting silently down the river when we rounded a bend and caught this poor elephant on the riverbank by surprise.
The Red Squirrel used to be a common sight in the UK. However it has now disappeared from large areas of Britain and its place has been taken by the grey squirrel. The larger grey squirrel was introduced to this country in the mid-19th century. Research has shown that grey squirrels put on a lot more body fat than red squirrels which gives them a better chance of surviving. The larger, more robust grey wins in the competition for food and space and it is now widespread in England and Wales. It is more adaptable than the red squirrel and lives happily in hedgerow trees, parks and gardens as well as large woods and forests. Grey squirrels also carry the squirrelpox virus, to which they are immune, but which is deadly to red squirrels.
We are asked to report any sightings of Red Squirrels in Scotland in an effort to protect them.

Snugs is looking a bit startled her and I have no idea why. I wonder is she annoyed I caught her on camera when usually I try, she is moving toward me before I can get a good shot in. So I don’t know how she feels about getting photographed. 🤔 Ah well, I will keep trying.

I woke him up. We didn't know the other was nearby after he woke up he flew to a snag tree and faced me stared at me ruffled up or straightened its feathers and flew silently away.
European Starling - Sturnus vulgaris. If we were in a country where this bird was a rarity or a ‘mega’ surely there would be an exodus to view it? In the UK we have them a plenty and tend to take them for granted unless perhaps as part of a murmuration. This individual was from Unst, Shetland last week just after a period of heavy rain…. then how the sun shone, revealing the markings and colour of this beauty. I’ll post some more images of different individuals at same location shortly. Many thanks to those who take the time to view, fave and/or comment on some of my images.
