And no i didnt try to run through it.......i was hoping that Daniel Jackson would appear through it though......
Couldn't find any decent Stargate minifigures to buy so decided to make my own. It's early days yet but getting there.
when my heart was broken, I always dreamed of a gate that could lead me to another world... a world that I could start everything all over again... have you seen that gate?

Sentinel Tree and the landmark Radio-Telescope (the Dish) at Stanford Weekend Acres. A favorite of walkers and runners. A quiet respite from the high energy living of the Bay Area. Took me only 40 years to diligently search its locale, as the dish is clearly visible from i280 to tens of thousands of motorists daily.
They call it the Julie Penrose Fountain, but I think it's a government cover-up. After all, Stargate Command really is located here in Colorado Springs, right?
I hope to get a shot like this with a natural sunset, but I really did not feel like going out into the cold to get it, and I did not want to wait.
L'impressione che creano queste fantastiche architetture è quella della "toppa" dove inserire la "chiave dell'universo" .... ecco perchè sembra il vero stargate!
Stargate taking time to do her favorite thing in her favorite chair. I think there's a lesson here for us all. (How convenient to have a model who is 18% gray!)
Came up with an improved design for the micro-scale F302s to go with my BC304 from Stargate.

"Stargate KS" In photography its healthy to express your creative vision, actually it's encouraged. I saw a vision for the "Rock Formation" photo I uploaded earlier in the week and wanted to do a composite ... it just called to me. I darkened the sky and added a photo of the moon I took earlier this year. I didn't want to "overdo" the moon but I didn't want it so small the vision got lost. Nature, time, mystery ...... the world and the universe collide with the human mind and wonder. I hope this image greets your eye well :)

First few from yesterdays jaunt down to Box Mines and Monkton Farleigh Ammunition Depot, and the stargate at longleats for some lightpainting with Phill and Dan.
Sooc raw conversion and crop.
Microscale of the Stargate... from "Stargate". Literally an 11th hour speed-build for the Microscale Sci-fi Contest that ends tonight (or so I assumed with a "by 25th" deadline). Whew. =P
