This is an in-camera two-image multiple exposure of a covered carpark roof at Bristol Temple Meads railway station. One of the images is with the camera held upside down.
I brewed it for Sliders Sunday like the latte I had nearby but in Nik Color Efex. There was a bit of solarisation, a bicolour filter, a blur vignette and some other things in the magic. It was processed from the raw in PhotoLab first.
As usual, it was the symmetric geometry that appealed to me and the abstraction created by the multiple exposures.
Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Sliders Sunday :)

Another from our recent Yorkshire jaunt. Whilst Mart, Paul and Phill finished their creations by the temple I mooched off to this art installation close by.
I was kindly helped by the chaps to ameliorate my stars on my DLW to finer points of light and was keen to put it to use here.
Lit using the @lacelightphotos beautiful back light scanner, then a generous waft of the DLW within the confines of the portal with a swift walk back to camera for a lead in with more stars.
We finished up shortly after and home for beers, food and a little more LP.
On a recent trip to Edinburgh, I was delighted to realise that I was so close to this location. It has been on my to do list for ages. This is a bit of a taster for the shot i really wanted from here.
Taken at 1am, it never really gets dark in Scotland at this time of the year, for some reason I had the place to myself.
CG lightning with an inverse lightning on the back right (on the mountain) and the boats of Alimos' marina (south of Athens) on the foreground. Shot from yesterday (15.04.2019), a day with non-stop thunderstorms and a tornado near AIA. Storm season has started well ;)

Fantastic night sky with the Milky Way over Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, Utah. Thanks to Dean Stevenson for the great photo session.
Ya got yer STARS, ya got yer GATE...
Beyond Mono Lake, almost to the Nevada border, there is a lovely and curious old stone corral near a place called River Spring.
We made our way here after the Lake Crowley hike, and still had a couple hours before the milky way got into position.
I used several light painting passes with my LED panel, to create this composite image of the gate, a stone wall, and the distant corral. In truth, it was completely dark on a moonless night, and rather windy.
The milky way was captured in a stack of 44, 13 sec images at ISO8000, processed using Sequator.
Because there were no cities to the immediate east nor south of us, there was a distinct lack of light pollution on the horizon, a real treat from this location. It is classified Bortle-1.
Lens is the DFA 35mm on the 645Z.
So hot here we may as well be on another planet. A beach sculpture blended with an iphone sunset and some Sunday sliding.

It's hard to tell in this photo, but the Chevrons and the DHD are actually lit up (I purchased some life lites <3 )

A bit of predawn fun - wishing there wasn't the thick cloud cover as the milky way was in a low position over the stacks with a pale moon. This happens in mid June and I think I'll be back again another year to try again!
The last shot in the Stargate Trilogy
1 am in the morning and it is still not really dark, The Falkirk wheel, a magnificent piece of engineering allowing boats to drop 24mtrs in one go on the Scottish canal system.

EXPLORE
Diglis Bridge - Over the river Severn in Worcester. The Towers stand 26 metres (85ft) above the riverbank with an incline of 17.6°
This was a very quick recce of the location recorded point and shoot style, would have liked to have had more time to explore further.
The little gate through Hadrians wall at Steel rig caught my eye as I walked back towards the car park, as it lined up with the milky way quite well. So even though it was late I had to grab a quick few pics before leaving.
This is a 6 shot vertorama, joined in potatoeshop.

This is the first time I've attempted a night sky image. On our way home from Colorado, Sean Bagshaw and I stopped by Arches for a night shoot. We hung around for hours shooting in the fading warmth of October in Moab. I've had this shot in my head for a while and everything lined up to be able to capture it.
