Today we all face situations we never planned on for sure. Tragedies come our way that may or may not involve us directly. We can’t ignore the depth of pain we feel for others because it’s part of the human experience. We Stand Tall in the face of challenges that we didn’t know would exist a few short weeks ago. We do this instinctively I believe because we need to know that tough times, pain and sorrow are temporary. We’re not meant to live our lives confined to our homes. Give Thanks to those people who tough it out for you and me in the trenches daily. We know who they are. Stand Tall for them too as well as yourself. Stand Tall because humankind wants to enjoy a contented life with family, friends and that new face you’ll see today. Say “hello” to a stranger, make someone laugh because you’ll move them to do the same. Stand Tall because it’s who you are, proud, happy, strong and yes connected. Look at all you come in contact with in your daily life. You effect people. Stand Tall and others will feel your presence. Lastly Stand Tall because it’s who you are. A beautiful foggy morning in Te Anau. Loved waking up to this still foggy morning. Didn't love my lens constantly fogging up BUT loved the results of what the fog gave me to capture.

i realized after i heard the song "i stand alone" it belonged to this image. i was never happy with the name of this piece. now it is right.

someone mentioned to me they couldn't tell those were people out there. those are people out there!

badwater, death valley, calif. my very first lensbaby. nothing quite like that effect. boy, i loved that lens.

I've been blown away with the amazing support it has gotten so far, and wanted to give something back. And, as one comment keeps coming up again and again - "Can you please make an Icecream Stand?" I figured it was a no-brainer.

Now this is just an early test model. It fits the scale of the others just right; and by that I mean it's scaled to it's real life counterpart, whilst doubling as a minifig scale food stand, but there's still improvements I want to make.

For now though, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at how it's coming along, and once again say thankyou for all the support so far. You guys rock.

One for childhood friendship, I think the film changed this song from a classic love song to a classic song of friendship for a generation of kids from the seventies and eighties. Well not kids anymore I guess LOL!

At the bottom of the Gibson Steps and a short walk up the beach is the start of the Twelve Apostles. We spent bait of time this particular afternoon admiring this stunning location whilst a decent rain band moved in from the west.

I shot several images form this location, some long exposures like this one and others capturing the power of Mother Nature at work. It was an amazing afternoon.

This is the Scottish Water Building that stands at the end of the esplanade at Prestwick beach ... the building is very m much curved and weathered!

Stand Alone

The vibrant desert fauna and awe-inspiring mountains of Red Rock Canyon, located near Las Vegas, Nevada, are illuminated by the morning sun.

The Old Nanyang style two-story buildings stand in contrast to the modern apartments in background :)

Cats which I discovered on my ways.

An unbelievable candid street scene. Yes, the photo is really candid (and totally unexpected!) ))) This is the old industrial area converted into a recreation center. A bar "Stand Up" is located in the cellar of the old factory building. A man peacefully sleeps on the bench just next to the bar entrance. The day is sunny and rather warm. The light is hard. The shadows are clean-cut. The cubical-shaped remnants of the old basement add notes of abstractedness and surreality to the scene. Many lines naturally point to the man. Looking at this image for more than 10 seconds makes you thirsty. The black and white version loses the contrast of the blue and red.
