Taken July 2020, First visit to ST Maws playing around with luminar AI my new software, not sure if the Balloon addition should be there but it a lifting experience for me and keeps me intrested in photography.

St James is a small, tranquil church on the outskirts of Oddingley village, surrounded by beautiful Worcestershire countryside. An earlier wooden church was first mentioned in 1288. In the 15th century the wooden construction was replaced with the current stone building, constructed from limestone that was probably quarried nearby. Originally there was no tower, but the wall at the back of the nave was removed and a tower introduced in the 17th century.

The church is the final resting place of many souls, most famously the Reverend Parker, the village parson who was gruesomely murdered nearby in 1806. The hunt for his killer gripped the attention of the nation, but the case remained unsolved for nearly three decades before the truth was, at last, revealed…

When your job demands working outside in very cold weather, it's nice to have a warm office on site.

St Giles' without Cripplegate, to give it its full name. There has been a church here for a thousand years. It was rebuilt in the 14th century and the tower added in the 17th century. However, after some historic fires and being bombed during WW2 in 1940 it had to be restored again. Work was completed in 1966. It now sits among the brutalist architecture of The Barbican, City of London.

The listed, late Gothic daughter church of St. Peter with the Calvary Chapel is located in the St. Peter district of the municipality of Waldburg in the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. The Roman Catholic church stands on a hill about three kilometres west of Freistadt, at an altitude of about 700 metres above sea level, and is clearly visible from afar. Next to the church is the Calvary Chapel and the local cemetery. The church and chapel belong to the parish of Freistadt.

Peter and Paul Fortress

A 16th century Jesuit Catholic Church in Munich, Bavaria. It is, apparently, the largest Renaissance church plus the first to be built north of the Alps. It has a relatively nondescript frontage in the main pedestrianised street but is wonderful once inside.

A slow night at the Ponchartrain Hotel on St. Charles Av. Covid restrictions are starting to loosen as the vaccine slowly filters through New Orleans. Hotel traffic is starting to pick up, though the damage is done to offerings and amenities.

Another view of St Paul's Cathedral from the South East side. I was lucky enough to get out of work a bit early today so stopped off by St. Paul's on the way home to take a few pictures despite the overcast conditions making it a bit dark.
