St. Lorenz is a Gothic church building in Nuremberg, south of the River Pegnitz
Construction of the three-aisled basilica began around 1250, and the late Gothic hall choir was completed in 1477. The roof and vault were badly damaged in the Second World War and were restored.
The very important late Gothic furnishings were largely preserved through storage.
Since the Reformation, the St. Lorenz Church, along with the Sebaldus Church, has been one of the two large Protestant city churches in Nuremberg, both of which belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, which is otherwise a Catholic-dominated federal district.

This is the inside of the Pantheon in Paris. The building is over going a huge makeover and most of the rooms very too bust to photograph so I didn't get many pictures from here but I did find this room with this cool ceiling.
St. Giles of Provence is an Anglican church in Totternhoe, Bedfordshire. Built between the 14th and 16th centuries (and renovated later) in late perpendicular Gothic style and made from Totternhoe Stone quarried in the village, the church is picturesque and almost a picture book beauty. How could a small village produce such an impressive building. It seems that mining has always played an important role here. Fuji X-E3. The church was unfortunately closed when I was there. So, I could not appreciate the stained glass window on the left (20th century) depicting the Tree of Life. But you can follow at least its outline.
In St. Nikolai's in Flensurg, the light increases as one approaches the altar, because the expanded distance between the columns allows more light from the main windows to enter the nave. On bright days the sun paints colourful patterns on the floor, the pillars and the people.

This spot is a bit unwelcoming with many posted "no parking" and "no loitering" signs, and without too much shoulder space along the road. I love the angle, and am glad I stopped, but would've stayed longer if I'd felt more comfortable.

St Andrews Castle is a ruin located in the coastal Royal Burgh of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. The castle sits on a rocky promontory overlooking a small beach called Castle Sands and the adjoining North Sea. There has been a castle standing at the site since the times of Bishop Roger (1189-1202), son of the Earl of Leicester. It housed the burgh’s wealthy and powerful bishops while St Andrews served as the ecclesiastical centre of Scotland during the years before the Protestant Reformation. In their Latin charters, the Archbishops of St Andrews wrote of the castle as their palace, signing, "apud Palatium nostrum." Quoted from Wikipedia

Gbrf pair 69004 & 69003 are seen on the SWML at Mount Pleasant crossing, St Denys on the 20th of April 2022, working the 12:30 4Y19 empty gypsum from Mountfield Sidings to Southampton West Docks.
69004 has only recently returned from Longport after receiving attention for an issue with its fuel pump, so it was an ideal opportunity to go on test along with classmate 69003, which was there for insurance purposes.

Pictured here is a view of the St. Louis Gateway Arch, shortly after dusk began to settle upon the city. What little orange sunlight remained was quickly falling below the horizon, only to be replaced by some beautiful shades of blue that helped to usher in the night sky.
The shot was captured from Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park, located on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River in East St. Louis, Illinois.
