And finally the fresh green leaves of spring have burst open.

You know spring has sprung when you find a complete field of naturally occurring flowers. Even this photo doesn't do justice to how beautiful this really was.

This is Doritaenopsis Arakaki Spring Fairy 'A#6', a phalaenopsis family hybrid, which I purchased at the annual orchid show at Tokyo Dome.

With Spring coming soon I thought it a good idea to make a second jewelled egg with a Spring theme. I wanted this egg to be similar in style to the first jewelled egg called ‘Love’.

This egg is made of emerald bricks decorated with silver lines, polished silver ornaments and a shiny gem on top. The egg is placed upon a small pedestal of silver in the shape of paws. Like the first jewelled egg there is a surprise inside: a chicken and an Easter bunny!

Now, let the Spring season begin!

A white world in the spring

Here was the Mt. Norikura, the south area of the Japan North Alps.

I saw the Alps from the mountaintop of Mt. Marishiten, approximately 2,870m above sea level in the early morning.

Even in spring a white snowy world opened under my eyes.

Many white peaks of the Mt. Norikura were seen just under eyes, and the Yari - Hotaka mountain range was seen beyond them.

Marie has chosen TIME as our word for inspiration for this week and that made me think of SPRING TIME so here we are. I wanted to 'tweak' this a little more but I ran out of TIME!

Thank you for looking.

I'm looking for my shot of a sunflower. But these keeps showing up on my screen :)

I always know its spring whenever I see this tree's flowers from my uncle's study room <3

What to do on a sunny day? Don't ask that to a photographer, because they are going to tell you find a location and take tons of photos!

I did that today, the day was perfect, not a cloud in the sky, nice and fresh for walking, daffodils, tulips and crocuses are in full bloom, the trees are finally putting on a show, and I want to share with you all something from this day...

Mother nature, you are awesome, this one is for you...

Nature inspired me to become a photographer. I specially love trees, birds and flowers, but there is so much to see, enjoy and capture during a long hiking trip, a lake, a conservation area, forest or park, the list of places is very long!

Graphic design is another way to express myself. I love reinventing a photo that I have seen, in different ways. I use Photoshop to do these transformations, and I also my own photos to create textures.

Just a couple of images taken in Claybury Wood during late spring. They've been processed entirely in Adobe Photoshop.

Based on a Lindy Smith design. I love these spring colours together!

More from my visit to VanDusen Garden on February 15th.

These are called Spring Snowflake, I presume a type of snowdrop but I haven't confirmed it.

Walking the valley of Spring

With only the blue sky above

The thunder of greens and blues

Rain if you want, I have holes in my shoes.

As life starts anew

With fragments of last year kiss

Hoping for better days

You I will always miss.

I want Spring and I want it now...

A sure sign that spring is here April 11 2013 Pennsylvania

At the moment winter is winning in my garden but I am hoping spring will get the upper hand next week.

Thanks to everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments! :-)

Spring wild flowers are starting to bloom here in Southeast Texas, although most of the blooms pictured here show up much later in the year.

An oldie which I'm re-posting - love this pic of spring I took a year or so ago!

Ahhh - I love spring! New leaves, spring blossoms and ladybugs!

I love the formation of clouds especially at sunset when you bring in all that wonderful colour. This is taken out the front of my house on a Spring Sunset Evening.

My daughter says it almost looks like a Love Heart in the sky.

This year you really had to look for spring here. A lot of rain and cold spoil the joy of spring. But there were nice moments too.

Trees and meadows are blooming and the sun is already strong - that's how you imagine spring.

Thanks to the gloomy day, yesterday I decided to get back in the kitchen. So, after the fillets of sea bass with orange sauce and cognac and tomatoes gratin, I baked these cupcakes. Maybe I overdid it a bit with the green, but they have so a spring mood ..... And moreover I wanted to try the new camera in this kind of shots. I must say I really like a lot and most of all I'm having fun; taking everything in manual, also the focus, I have total control. And this is what I like more, I was looking for and I can finally do.

Good start of the week everyone!

Flowering plums burst forth in February around here, and we've always taken that as a sure sign that spring is headed our way. Of course, the rainy season still has a few months to go, but it'll begin tapering off pretty soon, and the temperatures are working their way upward (looking for mid-60s this weekend!); so we're entering into the season of hope.

The springs are known for the clarity of the water, and the volume of water discharged. The springs are spiritually significant to the Māori people.
