Oh man, what a super appropriate theme for MM! I’ve not really had the time to invest in the MM group of late, but when I saw some spirals uploaded this am, I just wondered if it was for MM and indeed it was. A long day in the office has meant that the light has gone to get a decent photo of the natural spirals that we have in the Passion flower AND it’s really quite windy and just too cool to stay out too long to get anything better than this! Thanks fro stopping and HMM all
Spiral.
1st light to white backdrop.
2nd light low right shining up to top left at 45 degrees.
Smiths industries small clock mechanism spring (6 day)
Shot is approx 35mm across.
A spiral staircase leading into the bowels of Ft. Point, directly under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I am always afraid I am going to make one misstep and tumble to the bottom of a spiral staircase. This one has an added disadvantage for me. I'm pretty tall, and this staircase has a low overhead, so I also have to make sure I don't bump my head, knock myself out, and tumble all the way to the bottom.
Beautifully minimal wooden steps enclosed within the spiral staircase at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
A Spiral turns these Crystal Balls
They seem jumping up and down the Walls
It’s only a visual Illusion
Causing some kind of Confusion
These Crystal Balls stay where they are
So please don’t let your Mind drift too far …
