The theme for “Looking Close on Friday” for the 25th of June is “spirals”. I love wrapping gifts, and for me the presentation is equally as important as the gift. Thus, I have a whole hat box full of spools of curling ribbon in many different colours. When I saw the theme, I thought that a selection of curled curling ribbon would suit the theme. The day I took the photograph, it was a bright and sunny winter’s day, so I decided to photograph them on the table outside so I could capture some of the wonderful shadows they cast. I do hope that you like my choice, and that this photograph makes you smile!

Looking up the spiral staircase in the lobby of the EQ or Equatorial Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
(267/365) Spiral staircase leading up to the 4th floor & viewing tower in the Maritime Museum at Foynes. This is part of the Flying Boat Museum which I found absolutely fascinating. There's a life-size replica flying boat you can go inside. It is the only aviation museum in Ireland www.flyingboatmuseum.com/

10/30 April Photo a Day and you can't beat a spiral st\aircase - one of my photo challenge staples - along with a record deck, and some London Underground shots! Saving those for now but they'll be along shortly when I am stuck no doubt.
