Some of you might have already seen this on J2GOSRS, if not, well you've seen it now. He's basically a combination of his Spiderverse Version and his comic verions, basically his logo is green and some of the black parts are purple. I also modified the capes and scarf so they can fit together, I absolutely love how he turned out.
So I basically combined my custom with the official, and then I made some more well deserved modifications, I added that board from the set in the display too because I thought it looked cool.

Okay, so I know I just started and ended a contest, but I figured this would be a nice extra thing with the movie coming out.
Your task is to create as many different versions of Spider-Man as you can (canon and non-canon). These can be purist or custom. On December 14 (release date of the movie) I will give a shout-out and follow (if not already following) to everyone who participates in the challenge. Get building everyone!

This has been a passion project of mine since I first saw the movie in December 2018. Spider-Man's suit has been icon from the very beginning, but Miles Morales new look just blew me away. As did the rest of the movie!
I always gravitated towards the stories that characterised Spider-Man as just a good-hearted kid who happens to acquire superpowers by accident. From that perspective it always made more sense to me that his outfit is not highly functional but a lot more casual. And "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" really embraced that aesthetic and therefore features my favourite design of the character.
So it was very important to me, to not only build the black suit Miles wears at the end of the film, but also include the jacket, shorts and shoes he wears on top of it.
His head was the first thing I build right after leaving the cinema, but I really struggled with the rest. Even though the model itself does not consist of many pieces, getting the proportions and shapes right was a big challenge. I think I tried and failed 3-4 times to build a torso throughout 2019 and 2020. Eventually, instead of working from the head down, I decided to work from the feet up. This helped immensely, because I could ignore the difficulty of building the connection between the head and the rest of the body and focus on the rest of the design more independently.
And earlier this year the model finally reached a state that I am happy with. Funnily enough, the head is still completely identical to the first version I built more than two years ago.
Also the entire model is made with original LEGO® pieces, including the shoe laces!

Kinda all I had the pieces for. Could've made a crappy Spider-Man Noir, but decided to wait until I get the new Far From Home set cuz that head is too good for him. Anyway, enjoy!

Peter Porker was born a spider. He resided in the basement lab of May Porker, a slightly goofy animal scientist who had created "the world's first atomic powered hairdryer". In the experiment, May Porker accidentally irradiated herself, and in a fit of delusion, bit Peter, who then found himself transformed into an anthropomorphic swine much like May Porker herself. Running from the Porker homestead disoriented, Peter soon came to realize that he still retained a spider's abilities. Peter became super hero and claimed the name “Spider-Ham” in his own Earth-8311 (Spider-Verse). I enjoyed the movie with my friend “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” recently. “Spider-Ham” is unique, humor superhero and I built the character for fun.

Long awaited first look at the custom Tobey Maguire Spider-Man (Peter #2) for my No Way Home project 🔥
Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy is absolutely legendary of course, and getting to make Tobey’s iconic suit has always been on the bucket list ☑️
Painting The Amazing Spider-Man again prior to this really helped to inform the paint work on Peter #2 here. Thanks to that experience, this has been the smoothest painting process I’ve had with a Spider-Man suit to date.
Direct inspiration once again taken from @phoenixcustomsllc for much of the mask/torso designs 🔍
He’s about 80% done now. Still have to paint his legs + the red spider symbol on the back, but the rest is completed (including the unmasked head!)
Actually rewatched the entire trilogy this past week…and revisiting that time in my life was really special.
One of my earliest memories is of an acrobat in the Raimi suit at our local mall during like a big costume event in 2003 maybe. After saying hello to me, he literally leaped from the second floor of the mall. Barely even remember it, but never forgot it. This suit and Tobey Maguire’s movies had a major impact my life like so many of you 😭

I tried to make a head that fit the look of the alternate universe Cosmic Spider-man from the Spider-Verse. I wish I could find a more fitting modern head.

I knew what I was getting into though, and it was still worth it. Seeing the live action Spideys of our childhoods hit the screen together was unbelievable 🔥

Started working on this in Dec 2021 and slowly continued on/off until mid July. Wasn’t always working on it, but to tell you the truth I have no idea where the last 8 months went
That being said, I learned a lot about painting LEGO Spider-Man suits by hand with this process. It’s helped to inform the work on Tobey already too. I improved upon many past mistakes here, and made a new custom that I’m really happy with.
A long process of reference studying, planning, super intentional painting, organization & constant precision coupled with various techniques/micro considerations are what’s required to pull these off
It really is some of the most challenging work you can do. Painting the webbing by hand is already enough, but it’s when you have to paint the spider symbols & highlight lines into the pre-painted suit texturing that gets you to start questioning your sanity 😵💫
Mask and torso designs were inspired by @phoenixcustomsllc. Boot designs inspired by @jaka.brick_. Thanks again to @htwfilms for the idea to use Antoni Porowski’s head from LEGO’s Queer Eye set for Andrew Garfield’s face. Better than any likeness I would have come up with/painted myself.
Going back to remake this custom 8 years after the original showcase has been a really fun blast from the past. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was hugely foundational for my channel’s life post-Clone Wars.
Finishing filming the new Peter #3 showcase now, and then getting back to work on Tobey.
By the way, it’s still just “a photoshop” 😂

Had this one finished for a long time now actually. Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man has also been done for a while too, but decided to stop making everybody wait for me to make Tobey. Switching to single posts & showcases 🎥
Started on Peter #1 here before the release of the movie if some of you remember. Working on Peter #3 & The Batman definitely sidetracked me from it quite a bit though.
Anyway, the fully painted wrap around mask design is partly inspired by @phoenixcustomsllc w/ printed hands taken directly from his Upgraded Suit actually.
Fantastic pincers are by @tuminio & painted by me. Those took a while to paint since I wanted to maintain all of their definition. Glued on my own custom painted fabric neck brace too. Knew they would look great on this even if they weren’t in the movie.
Standard printed Tom Holland face I like to use is also by @phoenixcustomsllc & the bloodied up version is from @firestartoys
Really appreciate the unending patience guys. These will eventually look great together. No Way Home is an incredible movie and it means a lot for me to celebrate it with this full slate. Regardless of how long it takes. As always, I’ll try and probably fail to pick up the pace.
But that’s why I really do always appreciate it when you guys are still here when I have something cool to share

Hobgoblin continues to attack offices and buildings to exact revenge on those who's death benefits his plan to get more influence in the crime syndicates of New York. However, he didn't expect Spider-Gwen to be on his tail to stop him. But will she be strong enough and fast enough?

So here's another Marvel MOC from me :) This time a little smaller. I've had this custom Spider-Gwen fig and this custom Hobgoblin figure (which I bought before the official came out... yeah :P) for a while now and wanted to build something awesome with it. I tend to build way way too big so it was nice to do something small but still detailed.
Now I don't read much Spider-Gwen, but I loved her in Spider-verse and The Clone Conspiracy. I know that her earth is of course different to 616 and thus a lot of her villains are different. I am not sure if she's fought a Hobgoblin equivalent yet but my thinking was since this is also a custom Hobgoblin (and thus slightly different to the official one) It's the usual Multiverse shenanigans of a slightly different take on a villain. So yeah #benlogic :D
Hope you enjoyed. Up next will likely be some more Bionicles or another Marvel build... no spoilers for what they are though :P hehehe
