Chevy Spark - Side
A friend of my son has this car. One like this could suit me, with a different color...:)
Out and about with cool moonlight and flying sparks and Chris Renfro. It's getting to be that time of year when I can have a good evening of light painting in the mountains and still get home in time for few hours of sleep before my two-year-old wants to get up and play.
She just informed me that I have two minutes before we need to go to the bakery where she can have a muffin and I can get the coffee I desperately need this morning. Good times.
When I saw her face I knew from her eyes something was up but I always shoot first and ask questions later. Picking up tickets at the box office for a concert and just at that moment she sees the band (Kingsfoil) walk by. How cool is that!

The weather at Inveraray around The Vital Spark wasn't much better on our way back from Oban.

Lensbaby Spark, looking down into the late day sun reflecting off a local pond, of course with the lens given a touch of a tweaky tilt, and taking in the len's refractive funkiness. 50mm, f/2.
Spinning the sparking steel wool around like a propeller and trying to taking off. It was a small pipe and I had the aperture & time wrong on the camera so I burnt it a bit.
I first realised there might have been a photo here last week when I was experimenting but haven't managed to get a result I've liked until now.
I like this :) Especially the vapourised metal shooting off the oven ring after the spark has struck!
Used my macro lens and the full range of extension tubes to get as close as I possibly could to the action then focused manually to get as much of the spark (and secondary sparks) in focus as possible - at f2.8 my DOF was NOT large!
Strobist - YN560II through diffuser lighting the sparkplug and oven hob ring, 1/128th power about 5cm away.

I was on the fence on this one, but took the plunge with no regrets. Love the doll!
I like the gown, but the fabric is a bit thick/stiff and over-scale for my tastes.

I've known for a while I needed to do some of these. This is the best hour Ive had for a while. Wet feet and nearly took edwhite11 out as the old speaker wire gave up sending the wisk flying towards him. Thankfully it narrowly missed. Off to the hardware shop tomorrow to buy more supplies of wisk and wool.
I've been spending some time making a Tesla coil for a project which may never happen. It turns out that in the process of getting high voltage stuff for microsecond flashes I have acquired a lot of the stuff needed to make a coil. So far I've spent a bit over 50$ on the project mostly for the protective filter.
Cheers.
