The bomb was planted on orders from competing pirate station Veronica, in an attempt to settle a business dispute. True pirates. Dutch government seized the opportunity to make all contact with these pirate stations illegal, effectively ending the era of offshore radio stations.

The best time to climb Mount Ijen (2799 M above sea level) is at 3 am (from Paltuding basecamp). Because it takes time to reach its peak about 2 hours. That's when we could see the beautiful sunrise from the heights. But the struggle of two hours is not easy, it takes physically tough and endless patience. Because of impassable terrain quite heavy (especially for those who have never done outdoor activities, hiking). From the start we are faced with an uphill road is quite steep and it's very exhausting, not to mention we have to deal with the cold mountain air that ranged from 7 to 5 degrees Celsius.
But do not worry, all efforts will be rewarded when it reached the top of the mountain that has the largest crater in the world. So many amazing sights we see here.
This is the picture when the sun shows his form for the first time from behind the mountains that surround the crater of Ijen.

So I've taken the plunge and gone Pro....so expect regular uploads to recommence!
Sadly the Spark livery will soon be one of the only dedicated ones left (there are still a few Yellow Flashes about) seen here passing the Firkin Doghouse pub (never been in this one, very much a locals haunt) and sadly as per the current status in our country the doors were firmly shut, hopefully one day they will reopen and brighter times will return (a bit like the pub colour!)
