Kreltor – I must have been thinking of Forbidden Planet when I started coming up with the names for these Space Quest guys. (I just realized there’s a Commander Adams in the movie, too!) Kreltor didn’t need as much detailing as Adams, but I had to completely paint the cybernetic arm. The upper half came molded in a metallic blue plastic that was just too out of place with the rest of the figure.
More time went into the base for this figure. The grating came from a holder for some sort of closet deodorizer, and the stonework was cut from a vac formed sheet. The grass was made using Durham’s Rock Hard Water Putty, and the chunks of rubble are the same material.
The John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC, originally known as the NASA Launch Operations Center) is one of ten National Aeronautics and Space Administration field centers. Since December 1968, KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of human spaceflight. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 and managed by KSC. Located on the east coast of Florida, KSC is adjacent to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS). The management of the two entities work very closely together, share resources, and even own facilities on each other's property.
Though the first Apollo flights and all Project Mercury and Project Gemini flights took off from CCAFS, the launches were managed by KSC and its previous organization, the Launch Operations Directorate. Starting with the fourth Gemini mission, the NASA launch control center in Florida (Mercury Control Center, later the Launch Control Center) began handing off control of the vehicle to the Mission Control Center in Houston, shortly after liftoff; in prior missions it held control throughout the entire mission.
Additionally, the center manages launch of robotic and commercial crew missions and researches food production and In-Situ Resource Utilization for off-Earth exploration. Since 2010, the center has worked to become a multi-user spaceport through industry partnerships, even adding a new launch pad (LC-39C) in 2015.
There are about 700 facilities and buildings grouped across the center's 144,000 acres (580 km2). Among the unique facilities at KSC are the 525-foot (160 m) tall Vehicle Assembly Building for stacking NASA's largest rockets, the Launch Control Center, which conducts space launches at KSC, the Operations and Checkout Building, which houses the astronauts dormitories and suit-up area, a Space Station factory, and a 3-mile (4.8 km) long Shuttle Landing Facility. There is also a Visitor Complex open to the public on site.

Display made for the french convention "Brick à Dole" 2017. The V2 with a new part "Starship Troopers" was presented to the french convention "Let\'s Go" 2018 in Schiltigheim.
This MOC is a collaborative diorama created with my friend Sweetsha & N3rik.
On this diorama we find the new theme Space Lego but also the Classic Space Lego.
It is intentionally ultra colored, it gives a side very fun :)
There are also many references to the great films of SF, pop culture and it\'s full of humor.
Obviously nothing will happen as planned, Space is going to shit. ^^

ALE-1, the Automatic Law Enforcer, is called in to assist or replace Space Police officers in areas or situations deemed too risky. It features highly maneuverable bills legs, four anti-aircraft cannons, personnel incapacitator on the bottom left of the rig and impact displacor on the right. Underneath the protective canopy in the surveillance array with police lights on the bar under that.
I made this with pieces only available when space police 1 came out :)

My son is completely awed by space, planets and stars and his want to know everything has relit my own sometimes almost childish fascination and love of star and planet gazing,
'Space' has come from this enjoyment - To offer the viewer a place to imagine the billion life cycle journey of our own sun... all it has witnessed and all it has created....
The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System. It is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma, with internal convective motion that generates a magnetic field via a dynamo process. It is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth. Its diameter is about 109 times that of Earth, and its mass is about 330,000 times that of Earth, accounting for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System. About three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen (~73%); the rest is mostly helium (~25%), with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron.[17]
The Sun is a G-type main-sequence star (G2V) based on its spectral class. As such, it is informally referred to as a yellow dwarf. It formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of matter within a region of a large molecular cloud. Most of this matter gathered in the center, whereas the rest flattened into an orbiting disk that became the Solar System. The central mass became so hot and dense that it eventually initiated nuclear fusion in its core. It is thought that almost all stars form by this process.
The Sun is roughly middle-aged; it has not changed dramatically for more than four billion years, and will remain fairly stable for more than another five billion years. After hydrogen fusion in its core has diminished to the point at which it is no longer in hydrostatic equilibrium, the core of the Sun will experience a marked increase in density and temperature while its outer layers expand to eventually become a red giant. It is calculated that the Sun will become sufficiently large to engulf the current orbits of Mercury, Venus, and probably Earth.
The enormous effect of the Sun on Earth has been recognized since prehistoric times, and the Sun has been regarded by some cultures as a deity. The synodic rotation of Earth and its orbit around the Sun are the basis of the solar calendar, which is the predominant calendar in use today.

I've had the idea to build a transparent red and white space blocky pirate for a number of months. At the same time I have wanted to build a upside down cockpit and use my old pirate flags for such a spaceship. So Last week I finally got the opportunity to give it a go: This was the result.
I am myself really happy with it. The cockpit came together in almost no time, and I really liked the result. I had the gun barrels lying around for quite some time, so it was also easily done.
My only regret is that I didn't have the bricks to make the tail white - But perhaps I will get the bricks sometime in the future :-)

Invader (born 1969) is a French urban artist who pastes up characters from and inspired by the Space Invaders game, made up of small colored square tiles that form a mosaic. He does this in cities across the world, then documents this as an "Invasion", with books and maps of where to find each invader.
Invader started this project in 1998 with the invasion of Paris - the city where he lives and the most invaded city to date - and then spread the invasion to 31 other cities in France (such as Montpellier, Marseille, Avignon, Rennes, Bordeaux, Lille, or Bastia...), London, Cologne, Geneva, Newcastle, Rome, Berlin, Lausanne, Barcelona, Bonn, Ljubljana, Vienna, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Manchester, and Darlington are among the 22 other European cities which have been invaded. In the world, Los Angeles, New York City, San Diego, Bangkok, Tokyo, Katmandu, Varanasi, Melbourne, Perth, and even Mombasa are now invaded with his colorful characters in mosaic tiles.
The mosaics depict characters from Space Invaders and other video games from the late 1970s. The images in these games were made with fairly low-resolution graphics, and are therefore suitable for reproduction as mosaics, with tiles representing the pixels. The tiles are difficult to alter and weather-resistant.
Invader installed his first mosaic in the mid 1990s in Paris. According to the artist, it was a scout, or sentinel, because it remained the only one for several years. The program of installations began in earnest in 1998.
The locations for the mosaics are not random, but are chosen according to diverse criteria, which may be aesthetic, strategic or conceptual. Invader favors locations that are frequented by many people, but also likes some more hidden locations. In Montpellier, the locations of mosaics were chosen so that, when placed on a map, they form an image of a giant space invader character.
The mosaics are half built in advance, and Invader travels with them, and half from the city he is invading. When he arrives in a city he obtains a map and spends at least a week to install them. They are catalogued, pictured and Invader use a map indicating their locations within the city. Typically, mosaics are located 10 to fifteen feet above the ground, and often on street corners in areas of high visibility.
One of the more prominent places where the mosaics have been installed is on the Hollywood Sign. The first was placed on the letter D on December 31, 1999. During further trips to Los Angeles, Invader has placed mosaics on the 8 other letters of the sign.
Invader also works on another project that he titles "Rubikcubism", which consists making artworks made of Rubik's Cubes. Invader has had solo exhibitions at art galleries in Paris, Osaka, Melbourne, Los Angeles, New York City , and London. Invader placed two of his iconic tile works on the World Of Wonder Storefront Gallery, located at 6650 Hollywood Blvd., in Hollywood, CA. for the 4th annual I Am 8 Bit group show. In 2010, he was one of the featured artists in the film Exit Through the Gift Shop in which it states he is a cousin of Thierry Guetta (Mr. Brainwash). In the Futurama episode, Proposition Infinity (Season 6, Episode 4). Bender is depicted as a street artist, putting up images of himself using the same mosaic technique as Invader.
