I used to spend hours painting these wee 25mm figures back when I was a teenager. I started out playing Dungeons & Dragons but these figures are Imperial Space Marines (!) from a table top war game called Warhammer 40 000 (Warhammer 40K to those in the know) which I never really got into as I was starting to move onto more “grown-up” pursuits at the time.
These pictures are the result of a new interest meeting an old hobby but I think part of me would love to spend a rainy afternoon with some figures, a few pots of acrylic paint and a couple of sable brushes.

My entry for the Classic Space Pocket Money Contest II on MOCpages. Like the original Lego Classic Space sets there are alternate builds. So I have the Crater Hopper, Deep Space Telescope and Brazilian Spacecraft as options. More info on my mocpages: www.mocpages.com/moc.php/378228

I have created a nimble reconnaissance space craft based on the Lego Classic Space colorscheme. The model comprises of less than 300 bricks in its current form. This third generation MOC is an asymmetrical build which incorporates a part selection stretching multiple decades. The aim was to create a relatively small set with a modern yet friendly appearance based upon epic heritage. The craft is designed for reconnaissance work but is suffienciently equipped to defend itself if deemed required. It features next level equipment to scan its surroundings. Propulsion is achieved through an anti-matter reactor coupled to a warp drive. Ufonium element 115 is stored in the double armoured fuel tank. The ship contains 2 anti-anti-matter seeking missiles and 4 miniature rocket boosters which remotely attach to medium sized asteroids posing a threat to any minifigure astronaut wandering through the voids of imagination. ;-)
This image reprezents the hunam ultimate challenge: conquering the galaxy. The blue-transparent planet with a semi-lune in the right-down corner significally means an ocuppied planet, comming very clone to the main one. Also, the blue-dark space, makes you think that this image is not just a simple copy of the galaxy, it's a blue fog that survoles the planets. You are free to comment this at YourWeb LIFE Forum
Glazed clay sculpture (c.0.75 metres in diameter).
1927, 1969 key space travel dates and '?' to represent the next future significant milestone of man's ventures into space. Dates lit up as stars, swirling star hands, starry starry night.
(Unfortunately this piece got badly damaged being transported).

These three lifeguards ordered me out of the Victoria Pool, a New York State park, because my bathing suit was made of cotton instead of lycra. Never try to swim in NY in cotton...........
