David Bowie- Space Oddity

You can take a look to the link what officially space is.

I never loved maths in school, for me the end of creativity. Everything must be valid, sure, ... . But space? Geometry? Endless possibilities that has to be filled. That can't be boring!

I have some sentiment to this view.

[for Thomas & Glöckchen]

In my pursuit to photograph the transparency of space I continue to follow the lectures of Stephen Shore. In this image the orange cone is of no consequence. My goal was to meticulously structure this location so the internal elements have a relationship to one another and to the frame which restricts them upon the flat plane.

It took me a very long time to position this scene.

I wanted that red reflector to act as the fulcrum in this picture.

The space ride begins in the vicinity of a lava planet.

A 10 seconds animation consisting of 250 frames at a rate of 25 frames per second.

At some point I am going to have to add sounds and music to the animations. It is possible to do so in Blender too, but I still have to look up how to do so.

'The Poetics of Space'

Conversation with Bachelard Chapitre VIII- L’immensité intime:

Taken some 5000 plus light years away but travelling at an undeterminable speed towards Earth , who knows where , when and how it will affect the Solar System .

Is it a giant asteroid bigger than our moon or is it a speck of space of space dust of a size only visible under an electron-microscope .

In the vastness of the universe how can one tell ???

Or maybe it is just a piece of Labradorite about 2 inches long on a velvet mat on the patio table !!

Very busy. Photo from the Brickish AGM.

Oh, look. It's a new photo. These are quite rare.

I should probably edit this some more, right? You don't have to answer that.

Hey everyone! I’m capping off 2021 with a revamp of the 1985 set, 6882 Walking Astro Grappler. It’s very sturdy, and can be put in a wide variety of poses. I’ll post some more shots of it later, but I hope you enjoy in the meantime. Happy New Year!

The usual greenery amongst Bulgarian apartment blocks, but the rose garden was a surprise.

What it says in the title. What an amazing night we had on the 14th of March here in Abisko. I'd been dreaming of getting a good aurora on a night off work so that I could shoot at this location :) One of those nights where it all came together....

In a city of concrete and excessive heat, one must go through a door to discover a space of greenery, calm and freshness.

'Not much going on yet, Mission Control is at present still done from the old building. We just finished testing the hardware and expect to switch control to here any day now...'

=========================

I combined 'old space' consoles in the front row and 'modern' computers in the back row. Mission Control will not just launch and guide new space ships. It will also still be attending to the Classic Spaceships and spacemen and spacewomen out there.

This is JUST FOR FUN but I thought it'd be cool: it's a multi-composite of 1. Jupiter's Great Red Spot with the shadow of Europa imaged by NASA's Galileo spacecraft in black and white in May 2000; 2. color data of Jupiter from Cassini data acquired in December 2000; & 3. a color-comp of Europa made from Galileo data acquired in September 1997. Placement and size of Europa relative to Jupiter is purely aesthetic and arbitrary. Color saturation and contrast has been highly extended.
