I never loved maths in school, for me the end of creativity. Everything must be valid, sure, ... . But space? Geometry? Endless possibilities that has to be filled. That can't be boring!

In my pursuit to photograph the transparency of space I continue to follow the lectures of Stephen Shore. In this image the orange cone is of no consequence. My goal was to meticulously structure this location so the internal elements have a relationship to one another and to the frame which restricts them upon the flat plane.
It took me a very long time to position this scene.
I wanted that red reflector to act as the fulcrum in this picture.
The South Downs National Park is England's newest National Park, having become fully operational on 1 April 2011.

This is pretty much why I wanted a more or less classic capsule as well; I wanted a 'Skylab' like space station for starters.
It was one of the last things I tried to build while I was growing out of Lego as a kid... Never dreamt Lego would one day lead to this!
Build with one space module from set 60227, and the capsule from set 60350.

Taken some 5000 plus light years away but travelling at an undeterminable speed towards Earth , who knows where , when and how it will affect the Solar System .
Is it a giant asteroid bigger than our moon or is it a speck of space of space dust of a size only visible under an electron-microscope .
In the vastness of the universe how can one tell ???
Or maybe it is just a piece of Labradorite about 2 inches long on a velvet mat on the patio table !!

⛰️ J'ai gardé le plus haut des #HighestPeaks pour la fin : le Mont Everest, bien entendu ! Un des plus compliqués à repérer depuis l'espace vu l’immensité de l'Himalaya : qu'est-ce qui ressemble plus à un très haut sommet que le sommet voisin ? D’ici, ils ont tous l’air… petits (oui OK de près c’est carrément une autre histoire)
Saving the highest for last in the #HighestPeaks series, it is of course: Mount Everest. One of the harder summits to spot from space, as the whole Himalayas are huge mountains!

What it says in the title. What an amazing night we had on the 14th of March here in Abisko. I'd been dreaming of getting a good aurora on a night off work so that I could shoot at this location :) One of those nights where it all came together....

Cité Internationale is a recent district of the city of Lyon. It is located between a loop of the Rhone and the park of the Tête d'Or. It occupies the space of the old fair of Lyon.
The ensemble was coordinated by Renzo Piano around a semi-covered indoor pedestrian street.
The Cité is a tertiary, cultural and tourist hub with offices, conference rooms, hotels, a casino, the Lyon Museum of Contemporary Art, cinemas and an auditorium.
The site also hosts the Congress Center and Interpol's global headquarters.

A black hole is a geometrically defined region of spacetime exhibiting such strong gravitational effects that nothing—including particles and electromagnetic radiation such as light—can escape from inside it.
The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass can deform spacetime to form a black hole.

Ein Schwarzes Loch ist ein Objekt, dessen Gravitation so extrem stark ist, dass aus diesem Raumbereich keine Materie und kein Lichtsignal nach außen gelangen kann. This is JUST FOR FUN but I thought it'd be cool: it's a multi-composite of 1. Jupiter's Great Red Spot with the shadow of Europa imaged by NASA's Galileo spacecraft in black and white in May 2000; 2. color data of Jupiter from Cassini data acquired in December 2000; & 3. a color-comp of Europa made from Galileo data acquired in September 1997. Placement and size of Europa relative to Jupiter is purely aesthetic and arbitrary. Color saturation and contrast has been highly extended.

Scutum APC
The Scutum is the main terrestrial based infantry carrier used by the Colonial Space Marines. It is lightly armed and moderately armoured providing protection against most infantry based treats. The Scutum is operated by a single pilot and can be configured to comfortably carry 7 Marines plus one turret gunner.
It can also be configured to as armoured cargo carrier, and able to safely carry the standard Colonial Universal Pallet (CUPs) within it's confines.
The Scutum is equipped with a single Mass Ion Cannon mounted on top of the vehicle on a pintle mount. It also is equipped with two concealed missile launchers which can have variable missile payloads. The default distribution is 5 smoke dispersal pods and 5 medium ranged surface to surface missile.
