Shot of the South Llano River at South Llano River State Park in Junction, Texas. Unique almost turquoise-colored water. Very scenic place!
I saw these two weathered farm buildings just sitting off the highway. Of course I had to stop and take their photo. There is something about old farm buildings that I really like. Especially when they have a lean to them. This one leans to the south which tells me it has survived many northern winter winds.

I'm not the best at landscape shots, but I was happy with the lighting in this one. Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend! :-)

Weird clouds - no idea what type they were.
Dear friends - I am heading south early tomorrow on holiday to England so I will be away until the end of September with no uploads. I shall be round to visit you all and try to catch up later on today.
This is an image taken almost a month ago, that I had planned to reprocess with some H-alpha data taken on the same night but I hadn't had time to get around it until now.

There is now a painted mural that sits in the lea of the Forth Rail Bridge but its very hard to get it and the Bridge all in shot
A wash drains the northern portion of South Caineville Mesa near its junction with the Fremont River. Despite its similar appearance, owing to the same geological features, South Caineville Mesa gets less attention than its northern neighbors, Factory Butte and North Caineville Mesa.
The beautiful lower slopes of the mesa consist of eroded Mancos Shale, which makes up the surrounding "badlands." The Mesa is capped by Emery Sandstone of the Mesa Verde Group.
Sawdon Balk is a Public Bridleway that links the villages of Sawdon and Rushton in North Yorkshire. This is a view South across Seamer Ings and on towards the Yorkshire Wolds or it would be as we were under a blanket of low cloud for much of the day.A very typical Bank Holiday, but hey it sure beats work and it didn't stop me from being out and about.
Many thanks for taking the time to view this and other image in my photo stream.

Just outside of Raymondville Tx and Port Mansfield, I wish I could have stuck around for some better light.
Just a reminder to look both ways before crossing the South Chicago yard leads in front of the Short Line.
A strong south wind was blowing this afternoon. The City of Lancaster flag is flying from the flagpole atop Lancaster Priory.
It's an interesting building with a long and rich history:
South Stack from Holyhead Mountain..
For the last night of my stay I stopped on a campsite very close to South Stack. It's a great site with 200ft sheer cliffs, very clean and close to Trearddur Bay and the beautiful beach at Porth Dafarch, with spectacular views over to the mountains of Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula. The last of the colour in the heather is just about hanging on but the chill in the air up here was noticeable. Autumn is definitely on the way.
However....South Stack is a lighthouse and that can only mean one thing....Yup, Adrian had 'Lifted' going through his head for the next two days.
Damn you The Lighthouse Family.
