They say a change is as good as a rest well here we go something different. After a break from aviation for some 30 + yrs, I visited EM Airport today and things have changed a lot since i last went, with the aeropark now at 09 Runway end instead at the opposite side at runway 27 which in my opinion was the better site but thats progress it had a large mound above fence height next to the perimeter track, the terminal building also had a viewing lounge so you could look below you watching the aircraft loading / unloading, aircraft types DC10, DC9, DC8, 707, 727, 737, 747, Vickers Vicount, Concord, VC 10, To name a few + military as well BBMF Lancaster, spitfire, hurricane, vintage pair Vampire, Meteor.
The emergency services were out up Goosehouse in Darwen, so I extended the zoom full out, see what it made of the flashing blue lights of probably a fire engine, I didn't see the other blue lights to the left on line with the roof, the other two lights are caused by flair, if you blow the original 34meg file up, you can make out the figure of a fireman behind a fence, again sixty second exposure.

Sometimes I have that feeling that something is not quite the way it should be, but I can't tell what it is exactly.
I sat down on a bench along the Norr Mälarstrand promenade for a bite to eat. Thinking about riding over to the nearby beach. Noticed the guy in the water and I could not figure out what he was up to, so I took a photo of him.

Lamborghini Gallardo
This is again one of the shots taken from my parents. This awesome Gallardo has been transforming for a few times as the owner keep changing the asthetics on the bull and I think it looks better than stock!
This possible Air Raid Shelter or Sentry Post ? it may be something else ? anyway it is just inside one of the entrances to the Pembury Water Treatment Works it is opposite to the Type 24 Pillbox in Pembury Walks junction with Old Church Road but it is not recorded on any web sites so i might try and find some one in the works to get some information ...
I still can't grow facial hair to save my life. Seriously, see the seven hairs on my chin? That's me not shaving my "goatee" for, like, a month. (I can grow a "mustache," but it's some fucked-up wannabe fu manchu thing that looks something tragic.)
Also, I gained 20 out of the 30lbs I lost last year. Yay for a combination of stress and not chain-smoking and eating out your emotions and everything in-between. Fuck.
Also, I got my upcoming.org T-shirt.
Tabata Something Else
Tabata Pull-up
Tabata Push-up
Tabata Sit-up (abmat)
Tabata Air Squat
The Tabata interval is 20 secs of work followed by 10 secs of rest for 8 intervals.
Tabata score is the total reps performed in all of the intervals.
I enjoy working with really bad negatives (or in this case, positives)
to try and get something. Often what squeezes out is not bad at all.
There were ten of us together for a friend's birthday meal of fee &
chee at a local Fish & Chippery. I laid my Yashica Electro 35 GSN on
the rail of the deck we ate on and politely asked it, the camera, to
take our picture using its self timer. For some reason I still don't
understand, that set-up made the GSN think it needed to take a
full-second shot, maybe longer. It did that twice before I stopped
trying to be in the picture and took a decent shot of the other nine.
But here, in both of these, all ten of us are accounted for. I'm the
top right head.
The film is Kodak Elite Chrome (ED-3) 200. To get these images from
what was mainly just transparent film, I did a couple of scans,
layered b&w with saturated colour, and increased local tonal contrasts
in the b&w layer. The colours are somewhat different in the two
because of the different proportions of the two layers in the two
images. Because they look so odd, ghostly, and hundred-years-old, I
left all the dirt and other artefacts there.
I may make this into a postcard for my friends.

Taken for "52 in 2018 Challenge" group. Theme "24. Something Soft".
I was sat down, contemplating my naval, wondering what I could do for 'something soft'. Then it came to me. Not sure where the idea came from!
I finally got Lilylemons' block started for this month... As you can see, I decided to practice my applique again! I think (hope) it will turn out cute! I've taken a pattern from one of the fabrics... This will be my tribute block to our group, "Blocks of a Feather", even though there are no feathers on this critter ;-)
