My babysitter tired me out when my mom and dad brought my sister to camp today.
I took two naps for her and am still exhausted. I kissed her on the nose. I love her.
Not as much as my mommy though, who said something about "me time" and "august" and "taking pictures all by herself". That sounds like fun:). I wonder why I need a babysitter for that?

This was my "dream shoot" - you know when everything goes better than you expect and you could just keep shooting for hours?
Ah, something positive to say at last... look at the view through the window (just ignore the curtains!)
After seeing Gayle's sudoku cube, I suddenly thought of something... The tablecloth it is on also has small squares which I have tried to highlight although it has made the whole think a bit blurry (it may be my eyesight!)
Taken in Sanger Tx on the night of June 20th as a severe thunderstorm approaches from the west. Again, these are lightly edited in Adobe lightroom just to bring out some of the detail of the clouds. The storm rolled in at sunset and you can see its progression thru the frames. This is part of the 25 pictures I chose from the original 300 I took that night.
Something is about to give
I can feel it coming
I think I know what it is
I'm not afraid to die
I'm not afraid to live
And when I'm flat on my back
I hope to feel like I did
Who's to say where the wind will take you
Who's to say what it is will break you
I don't know which way the wind will blow
Who's to know when the time has come around
Don't wanna see you cry
I know that this is not goodbye

Not too happy with my swanshots... had too much bright background, oh well, we all learn. Had to post this one though. For some reason this swan swam up to me and showed me his foot. Go figure
Some sort of old vent door on the side seen in a Logan Circle alley.

This September I want to learn new stuff about my self, my kid, my faith, my family and the community where we live. This is going to be both challen- ging and so much fun! I'm going to make it short and sweet (for the most part), hoping to keep it manage- able all month long! The main thing is to write a little everyday, then I'm pairing it with photos and pretty paper when I have a free hour or two. Can't wait to see what I'll discover. This September will rock! (Photo on the front page is from September 2009).
