Somehow reminds me of a professor I had in college. So intent on looking down the considerable length of his nose that he actually bumped into stuff. This guy has a long pathway to look down as well.

Somehow I don't think this 'Seagull' is going to fly again! Taken at Sunderland Point, River Lune, Lancashire UK with a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Alpha 1 on Polaroid (TIP) B&W film.

somehow my cats do help me a lot in my portraiture skill :p

you ask me where to begin

am i so lost in my sin

you ask me where did i fall

i’ll say i can’t tell you when

but if my spirit is lost

how will i find what is near

don’t question i’m not alone

somehow i’ll find my way home

(vangelis – i’ll find my way home)

Somehow I messed up and shot everything as jpg instead of raw.

Oops. This one seems OKish.

Somehow, seems everything and everyone always ends up being rescued from the cold pool at some point.

Somehow to end this series of images from the 2022 Gator, I thought an image taken, of my first pair of dancers, was appropriate. Same dance floor, band and partner; only the moment and movements have changed. Hard for me not to smile and think to myself - aging seems to have little weight in music and dance.

Somehow a remarkable bench, seen at the Swiss Garden of Shuttleworth, Bedfordshire. Fuji X-Pro1.

Somehow having spent my whole life in California, I've never seen these before. For those of you who don't know, these are the world's oldest trees, some exceeding 4,000 years. They grow at high elevation in nutrient poor areas that other trees can't handle.

We talked for awhile with a young ranger who mentioned to us that we could buy seeds and grow them at home. However, since they grow something like 3 inches/ 7.5 cm a year, this is clearly a young person't game! It reminded me of my aunt who learned to grow bonsai trees when she was about 70 and wished she had started the hobby several decades earlier.

Somehow my history class couldn't find time to mention this.

and witnessed

A nation that isn't broken

but simply unfinished

There is always light

if only we're brave enough to see it

if only we're brave enough to be it.

Somehow, I JUST managed to fit this gorgeous beast into the full frame. A stiff crosswind made take-offs and landings a real test of pilot skill.

Somehow, I managed to tear myself away from these pups for a week, so that I could partake in a family event. Such a joy to return & see how they'd been thriving & growing in my absence. (Though my photographic skills need to catch up with them. A far faster shutter speed is needed than a week ago---)

Somehow eternal lifespan leads to impractical attires.

Die Fotos vom Fischadler entstanden in freier Natur ohne irgendwelche Lockmittel, wie z.B. aufgeblasene Fische oder Anfütterungen!

The photos of the osprey were taken in the wild without any attractants, such as inflated fish or feeding!

Somehow Caithlin has always reminded me of Suzi Quatro. Bastian must then be her backing guitarist Len Tuckey... :)

During a summer heatwave when most Western Washington was in the high 90°s F or more, we made for the Olympic National Park Wild Beaches, where we found temperatures at least 30° lower. We also, as per usual, found a lot of wildlife there: sea otters, river otters, seals, sea lions, raccoons, deer, coyote, shorebirds, eagles, tidepools and of course bears. This mother led her cubs out in front of our campsite on two evenings to scarf up seaweed like spaghetti. We also saw a second, lone male doing the same. One evening there was actually a freshly deceased harbor seal right at the waterline, and I was expecting them to make quite a show with that; somehow despite their famous noses they never found it, but instead stuck with the veggi spaghetti.

I took this with another relatively ancient camera, the fz200, which here thinks it is still 2012. It had been on its last legs for at least five years, when it started malfunctioning, giving error messages and often refusing to zoom or sometimes even turn on. It finally gave up the ghost for good on this hike. So, eventually I will have to break down and get a new travel camera, I guess. Black bear mother and cubs, Wild Beaches, Olympic National Park, Washington.

Somehow I managed to capture this pine warbler headed for the heights of a tree in the backyard.

somehow this looks like a museum diorama to me...

somehow i know how it feels, either way…

somehow there is a composition of this series I wanna capture one day! so be sure you all gonna see some more of them :)

Somehow, I don't think so...this was shot directly across the road from my previous upload if you want to see what they were so intently looking at - very glad I didn't wear my deer costume out on the hill that day...

Somehow my post from last night got deleted :( I was cleaning out the camera roll and I'm not sure how but when I came back to the Public page it was gone...So to those of you who left such amazing and supportive comments, thank you! Thank you for being here <3

Here is an image from just yesterday. Took a drive to Tyler and enjoyed looking around their Historic District area. It was full of gorgeous old homes and red brick streets. It was drizzling off and on but thankfully not very cold. We stopped at a small park called the Children's Park and I came across this bush that had purple leaves. It was so pretty and especially covered in raindrops. The misty grey day just made the colors stand out even more. Being new to the Texas area I was surprised to see flowers in bloom. Lots of rose bushes as well. I'm excited to explore more of Tyler's outside beauty now that I know everything isn't bare. I'm learning to readjust my seasonal gauge for sure haha.

Have a wonderful Monday friends!

Another bit of playing around with my watercolors. I painted and framed this to give to the wonderful young woman who cuts my hair, I think she liked it.

Thank you Sally.

Somehow the place looks more alive at night - the light shows across the harbour are quite magnificent.

Somehow escaping being incased in icicles, the northern portal of Twin Tunnel #1 shrouds northbound CSX freight train E308-11 as they burst out onto the snow-scattered cliffside above the meandering Clinch River with the crew giving us a friendly entrance on the morning of March 13, 2022, in Hill Station, VA.

Somehow my entire history, all images, contacts, groups everything was deleted from Flickr.

Flickr does not know what happened. After researching it I found this has happened to many people.

I plan to rebuild my contacts and social network, please follow me if you like my photostream,

Keep your passwords safe and your images backed up. Flickr is irresponsible and not a good platform, or partner for sharing your images and creative works.

if you know of something better please let me know.

Somehow I missed receiving my invitation to the royal garden party so I guess it's off to the cafe for me. (Surprisingly, the food was very good there but not cheap.)

Somehow, during this time directly after I was promoted to engineer when I think I spent all my waking hours behind a throttle (and some sleeping hours too...hopefully when the train was not moving), I managed to snag this westbound #177, on its way from Lincoln to Laurel by way of "the south line" through Wendover and the Wind River Canyons, as it departed Alliance. It snaked through an arm of the vast Sandhills (which were mostly east of Alliance) about ten miles south of town with four GP30's (2247-2243-2241-2246) leading the 97 cars and caboose through the hogbacks, before dropping down into the North Platte River valley. I posted this train in a closer view long ago; I think it was one of the first I scanned with my new scanner. Any question why? This view includes the train farther away, but highlights the native "soapweed" that would send their white blooms up in the Spring - looks like they're done with that now - and virtually glow in the dark. I could see them from up in the cab as they led the way through these grass-covered sand dunes.

According to my notes, an Alco S4 (29) was taking a trip in the consist of this train. Apparently, Illinois Northern, a switching line in Chicago on which I may have photographed this engine (at Brighton Park, maybe?), had sold it to a construction outfit that was working on building BN's new "Orin Line" in eastern Wyoming.

Somehow I have snakes on my mind this morning ... I think it's political news that's doing it ;-) I won't mention the location where I found these four huge watersnakes mating a few years ago because people come to Georgia to steal our reptiles. We are barely in the known range for them. I did photograph a juvenile there at a later point - not much was known about the mating habits of this species. Apparently this was 3 males chasing a female. I'll never see anything like it again.

Have a good Wednesday!

p.s. thanks for the heads-up on Explore 9-21-16 #363

Somehow, the scene remind me of all the cities of those science fiction movies, where machines do all the work for human..

Got Explored! #169

I somehow seem to have amassed quite a large number of 'things' to photograph. If I'm not careful I'll need to move somewhere bigger to house all my miniature house stuff. :)

This image is for this week's Looking Close... on Friday!' group theme, Glass. The vase is about 1.25 inches high.

I apologise for not being around for the last couple of weeks to comment on your images, but I've had a bad back and for some time wasn't able to sit comfortably. I'm glad to say that it's improved considerably, so I'll try to catch up very soon.

You used to call me your angel

Said I was sent straight down from heaven

You'd hold me close in your arms

I loved the way you felt so strong

I never wanted you to leave

I wanted you to stay here holding me

I miss you

I miss your smile

And I still shed a tear

Every once in a while

And even though it's different now

You're still here somehow

My heart won't let you go

And I need you to know.....

I miss you =(

P.S.: Model>> NOT ME

**EXPLORED~*

I somehow managed to delete this photo by mistake this morning and as I like it, have put it back on so back to zero everything again. Never mind I'll be more careful next time.

This is the RSPB woods at Tunbridge Wells Kent, UK late in the evening. It is populated with Deer, Konik horses and goats not forgetting the foxes, rabbits and lots of birds.

A beautiful place for a long or short walk.

Photo taken with a Helios lens,

We came across this little house tucked away on the mountainside during one of our walks in Shimla. It probably dates back to the colonial times and was not particularly well maintained but it somehow looked very charming and I captured it on my phone since I was without my camera for a change.:-)

Somehow this photo turned out a little different than what I had in mind when I started the processing. It´s a small step out of line, but I can´t help but like the result and I hope you guys feel the same way.

My doctor said I should stay at home for the rest of the week, so I will finally find the time to check on your streams and discover your latest work.

Later guys!

Love,

Wolfi
