Pedals are Shimano PD-T780. I definitely like having platforms on one side and SPDs on the other. Built in reflectors is a plus for me. The ones you can attach to the M324 keep on breaking off for me when I go up or down stairs.

Apparently keeping a bird theme to my handlebars, I am trying out the Soma Sparrow bars in place of the Nitto Albatross. I'm doing my best to give a comparison between size and hand positions between the two bars.
Holding the Albatross to compare to the installed Sparrow

Cheap and cheerful Chevrolet Camaro model by Soma. Rough and ready casting quality sadly takes away the fact that for an unlicensed model this is just as realistic as a Hot Wheels equivalent. Part of a 20 vehicle set dating from either the 80's or 90's when brands like this were fighting for domination at the budget end of the market before all this HTI generic madness came along! Mint and boxed.

We started with the bare frame, and it went together fairly seamlessly. The trickiest part was installing the fenders, but even that wasn’t too bad. Rides like a dream. Smooth, relaxed, but handles very well and is actually quite fast. The drivetrain all works flawlessly, and the bar ends are actually quite nice after using STI’s for so long. Absolutely love the Nitto Albatross bars. And these tires are incredible, the smoothest fastest rolling tires I’ve used to date! My dad chose every single part, so it is truly HIS bike!

Rear dynamo light built into the rack. It's a Racktime Shine Evo Tour. I wasn't able to find any reviews on it in English, but so far I like it a lot.
With so many independent toy importers and distributors going out of business in the last ten years or so the vacuum has been filled by the mighty HTI who now almost completely dominate the budget end of 1/64 collecting with their horrendous generics. Before then you could easily find all manner of different brands, usually originating from the Far East, and whose products may have been cheap and unlicensed but invariably were recognisably based on real vehicles. Throughout the 1980's and 90's Soma produced quite a selection of 1/64 models, some rather crude and uninspiring but others rather good and often copied from other toy makers such as Tomica. They are still in business but according to their website no longer produce 1/64 diecasts with a lot of their older stuff being transferred over to Realtoy.
This rather wedge looking sports coupe is almost certainly meant to represent a 1980's Chevrolet Camaro, definitely no Matchbox competitor with its crude casting and rough paint application but at these prices they were always designed to undercut the competition. Part of a newly purchased old 20 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
