I was not going to post this due to poor quality of the shot, but every time I go though my discards I pause and think I can make something of it. The detail shadows is nonexistent and overall image is soft , but more than likely I will never get the pose again. My "Lowfi" shot

I love flickr for being here in the lonely times. Unexpected. When I didn't even realize I was lonely... kids a-buzz around me. Still, lonely somehow. Miss you mom.

“A large drop of sun lingered on the horizon and then dripped over and was gone, and the sky was brilliant over the spot where it had gone, and a torn cloud, like a bloody rag, hung over the spot of its going. And dusk crept over the sky from the eastern horizon, and darkness crept over the land from the east.” ― John Steinbeck, The Grapes of Wrath

Our little trip to the mountains was a bust. It was so hazy that it was really not a good idea to even try taking any shots from this look out but I did it anyway. I am also off to the camera store to purchase a UV filter. I keep trying to convenience myself that this has a dreamy feel and that it really isn't that bad but I know better.

Looking for a definition of charming? One of the best bets is the lakeside town of Hallstatt, Austria. Despite the large numbers of tourists, it has retained its character and is a lovely place to just sit and gaze. Our first morning there was foggy and atmospheric, and I did cave in to the temptation to soften the image to augment the dreaminess of the scene.

I chose a soft DOF to convey a past that has faded to a time in our dreams. This little figurine is just 2 inches high and sits in my flower pot on the front porch now.

i want to abandon my obligations

i want to go to the sirens

i want to be shipwrecked on a foggy ocean of rocky barren expanse

i want to loose it all to my beautiful, treacherous, austere lover
