Another image from Cornwall. The light on this evening was lovely. Spent about an hour on the beach. Half an hour before and after sunset. The reflections on the wet sand was breathtaking.

When I pulled this dead Anthurium bloom off my plant I couldn't help but admire the beauty even at this stage in its life cycle. I honored it. There is a new bloom on my plant. These plants are known for keeping their blooms for a long time.
These are two of my favourite pots - I love the shapes. The pitcher with handle is quite old - antique? and the other one is modern.
They sit on my fire surround and for several days I'd been thinking they would make a nice still life subject because the light was falling on them in an attractive way.
I took several and then decided to see how they would look with my camera's 'Art - soft focus' setting, and I chose this one to post.
We are in the middle of a drought here in California so it was great to see a rainy day! I submitted a couple of photographs in October signifying the beginning of Autumn, and here we are at the end.

it was a brilliant golden afternoon.
I just stood at the historic bridge and looked at the captivating scenery.
everything was so quiet and affectionate just like an oil painting.
I finally knew why the book wrote: Venice is the city of falling angels.
bcuz it really is.
