" Hermann Hesse"
(Prayer of St Francis of Assisi)
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy Peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
Oh Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
It is in dying that we are born into eternal life.
Antisemitism must be stopped! My heart goes out to those injured and their families.
A lovely crisp morning here today. Was it the Spring's final frost? Shot during golden hour with the helios 58mm at f2.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

For MACRO MONDAYS, this week's theme "REDUX 2020", I select my 2020 favourite theme on December 14: High Key.
This mini chrysanthemum is about 1.5" in the biggest diameter.

To celebrate their 50th year in business out local garden center set up this interesting display at their front entrance. Best guess is that's a circa 1930 Model A Ford truck, but I could be wrong. To my mind the whole scene looks like Dorothea Lange should be strolling around in the background. : ))
Best viewed LARGE.
Love Poppies, though they always look better with background colour stowing their environment, I think...
These little things are common to the eye and inconsequential looking but are transformed when shot using a macro lens. There's a little clump of them formed on top of the soil in a bucket, next to the moss and its little moss grass.

Another image from Cornwall. The light on this evening was lovely. Spent about an hour on the beach. Half an hour before and after sunset. The reflections on the wet sand was breathtaking.
"Aging has a wonderful beauty and we should have respect for that." - Eartha Kitt
When I pulled this dead Anthurium bloom off my plant I couldn't help but admire the beauty even at this stage in its life cycle. I honored it. There is a new bloom on my plant. These plants are known for keeping their blooms for a long time.
