The Smart Forfour was produced in this form from 2004 until 2006. It was developed together with the Mitsubishi Colt and built alongside that model at the NedCar factory in the Netherlands. The Forfour didn't sell well and was taken from the market within a few years after its introduction.

At 6'1" I'm not super tall, but tall enough that I thought I would
never fit in a Smart Car -- surprisingly I fit and this thing would
certainly be a fun (but VERY LITTLE) city car. The only thing it's missing is an
airbag that completely surrounds the car right before getting into an
accident with a H2.
