Shelf Cloud approaches Starkville, ON

Agosto 2024: una poderosa shelf cloud preannuncia un forte temporale in questa caldissima estate…

This is from a dangerously looking storm that approached Brisbane today 11 Dec 2008. The shelf cloud was intensifying as it got closer to the CBD but then minutes after the shot at the bottom it lost it's fury and weakened. Experiencing such a formation is most rewarding....it's just something you don't see everyday. Having said that, we do have a very good storm season so far. I wonder what the rest of this summer will bring.

Did not get much rain from that here...a few km further south they got in excess of 60mm from that storm

my mom got me this shelf to display my dolls cuz she got tired of seeing them all over the motherfucking place.

ps. Bryce and Charlie look so fuckin good in this photo. its a twin thaannggg.

pss. Jayden has his own blanket, like a bosss.

psss. Roxxi is all like "ohh im so emo and alone even though my bf is right next to me."

Part of my kokeshi doll collection. I love the variety of shapes and sizes, and I especially love the weird-looking ones!

SO fun to rearrange things! :-)

Bottom Shelf Boots old boots lined up and hoping for a new life. found in North Carolina.

A few old TNG and SW mini-figs plus some gaming miniatures make for great toys for toys.

Underneath a shelf cloud a lone tree stands prior to an oncoming storm cell. Dowerin, Western Australia

- www.kevin-palmer.com - I felt like I was in the perfect position to watch this storm. It dumped heavy rain and lightning just north of this overlook on Grandview Drive. But I stayed dry where I was, and at a safe enough distance from the lightning.

I was in the library tonight getting books out for a project I'm doing on lucid dreams. If anyone has any suggestions of artists that would be good ;)

little village (£2 charity shop) on my lovely new floating shelf! blogged.

The old box at one time was filled with christmas lights but I suspect the manufacturer truly intended it to be filled with colorful fabric

18 shot HDR panorama from my Mavic Pro 2 drone of a shelf cloud looking towards the east from Lake Powell. The drone has the ability to take the HDR pano shots, store the images and also create it's own pano image. I opted to create the pano in LRC using the new processing that was added a couple years ago. Post-processing in LRC.

This incredible cloud formation came rolling across Lake Michigan this evening around 7:00 p.m. On the news they called it a shelf cloud. Whatever it was, I have never seen anything like it before. It was stunning!

A severe thunderstorm approached Cheyenne at 30 mph. I had less than 10 minutes to set up various cameras before all hell broke loose. I set up my GoPro across from my place and then another one from my backyard. Finally, I climbed my backyard hill to get a panorama of the storm while looking over the city.

pictures and the things in the little green shelf yesterday and now it looks very 70s in my livingroom :)

MORE pics at my stream...

Let's name them shall we? Left to right:

Labcoat, Creeper, Butt Launch, Spindle....ok now back story....nope, no back story here.

Couple humanoid and and a couple slightly alien bot designs.

When larger creations are in the works these guys end up being made from the leftover scraps and generally dwell in the cracks and crevices of the display shelf.

My first ever storm chase.

The are so much prettier and have more detail on the bottom side.

This shows part of the only open shelf in my kitchen, in a corner near the window. It was a bad choice - it is the perfect “step” that allows a cat to jump up to the top of the wall cupboards! Obviously, Bella uses it frequently.

Found this cute shelf unit and gave it some tlc, now it houses some of my bits and pieces in my sewing room. Tiny animals, little birds, wooden eggs, Betsey Clarke book, mini pillows, wooden iron business card holder, tin of pegs and my pin cushions!

I rearranged the living room yesterday.

The shelf feels much better than it did before...and MUCH better than it did one year ago

This is what the shelf used to look like before I painted it, turned it upside down to vary the shelf spacing & added legs.

Blogged.

Busy around the house tonight, so no witty commentary on this shot.

Thanks for looking!

A well structured shelf cloud over Lake Monona on June 30th.

This is on the back wall of my studio. It is the main hub of my room and holds everything that I need to access when I craft.

Dragged my butt out of bed early enough to make the drive to the Lake Michigan shoreline with a good friend and frequent shooting partner, Mark Kinsman. We were treated to amazing shoreline ice, a very calm Lake Michigan, and a beautiful sunrise. Beats sleeping in any day. Hard to judge scale in this image, that point is about 15 feet high.
