This exciting ranch home is filled with details and lives much larger than its exterior portrays. For fans of entertaining, this home has a spacious, open layout that allows everyone to be included in the party. The family room and breakfast room both overlook the kitchen, so mealtime is always comfortable. The adjacent great room accesses the rear porch, as does the family room, and features a coffered ceiling and fireplace for additional luxury. Tray ceilings also crown the dining room, study/bedroom and master bedroom. French doors grace the entry into the study/bedroom and the nearby bathroom makes it an ideal guest suite. back when i first got my 50 mm 1.8 (and didn't know that shooting wide open all the time wasn't necessarily a great thing), i took this one of our daughter.
while most of my wide open shots are a bit soft, this one shot here showed me why i love that little lens so much.
In these days Georgia Rain seems to be the favourite of the harajuku girls. Today I've took some nice pics of her at the park.
I needed some colorful flowers and LO AND BEHOLD RobbyFox Anzac hath sent me this island recently. i say thankye thankyeeeeeeeeeee!

Another diversion. This is a kind of boring picture of an office building. This happened because of road rage and a fortunately-placed Wendy's.
Interstate 77 approaching Charlotte from the north is one of those overstuffed four-lane highways of the type that drives me insane, as everybody's just fighting for position, shoving in front of each other for no reason except to be in front. Some guy cut me off. I cut somebody off in return. Somebody laid on a horn and flashed me a finger, and Robin wisely decided it was time to grab some lunch. We always eat at Wendy's on road trips, and the nearest Wendy's just happened to be right next to the headquarters of Michael Waltrip Racing. We had to go.
There's this duality to me my flickr crowd was familiar with that I'll share now with the new ipernity folk. I'm a blue state Earth science guy with strong environmentalist leanings, but I was raised a Kentucky redneck. I spent my childhood Sunday afternoons watching the races. I grew up in NASCAR country, in a town that for a while had six drivers racing in NASCAR's top racing series. One of these drivers was Michael Waltrip, and I almost feel like I know the guy. About five or six years ago, Michael started his own racing team and opened his own shop. Michael's a smart marketing guy who knows how to get fan support, and he opens his garage to tours. We took the tour for free.

The downstairs Pool Terrace Level of Serendipity is a home within itself. The broad bar is a favorite gathering place where the butler mixes up a bottomless supply of his house special.
Went to see a show at Montage Music Hall and we parked right next to Manhattan Square Park. I spent about 1 minute there snapping off a couple pics. I have been wondering where this place was for a while now and I just randomly ran into it....anyone ever see the movie Serendipity?
