This morning I was trying to find some Sun on what was an extremely foggy day in Somerset. I was at RSPB Greylake and noticed Graham in the car park. He was in two minds as where to go next but opted for the coast given the sun that was visible via the Burnham-on-Sea webcam!!. So off he went along with Steve while I stayed put. Not long later, an incoming text from Steve saying that SEO "bagged". So I thought about options for a while and then decided enough was enough and so I packed up and headed for Steart, So glad that I did as an SEO put on a great show. Many thanks Graham and Steve for the heads up!. :-)

Not a very clear shot, taken very far away. Tight Crop

I deleted the Dunnock; tried to fix it up and kept making a pigs ear of it....guess i need more practice, lol. Here is another shot of that SEO, only this time he is looking straight at me again and in portrait. Not as sharp as the first one taken here on this post, but its ok. Taken with my Nikon D70.

Did you know the short-eared owl nests on the ground in prairie, tundra, savanna, or meadow habitats. Nests are concealed by low vegetation, and may be lightly lined by weeds, grass, or feathers

This is the Pale SEO of Fen Drayton, now this bird has caused a few problem not only for myself but other photographers, the problem being that with the light back ground and the light bird, getting the focus to lock on hasn't been easy, this bird also isn't very methodical at hunting, traveling across the field very sharpish. Today was the first i had witnessed it perched on the post, that the RSPB warden has placed in the field for us all to enjoy, but i had seen it on other posts.
