Space age meets the Matterhorn. Hotel 3100 at 3120 metres has an observatory and amazing views of the Matterhorn. It has a James Bond feel to it!! The only access to this spot is via one of only 50 rack and pinion mountain railways in the world.

HWW in Siracusa!! :))

My entry into GXCC photo competition for unusual angles which took place 6th Feb 2020. {Result was an award a score of 20.}

It is based on the Tulip staircase at Greenwich, then some digital work in Photoshop to duplicate, flip and merge into one image.

You can make up your own story!

The guy is clearly looking at the flame haired woman walking past. If his companion notices his eyeline, she'll see red - and she's already wearing sunglasses with red lenses. Or maybe they're rose tinted....

HBM in Siracusa...:))

A rare treat was in order for those who decided to visit the Lebanon, Mason & Monroe on December 20. CRC 902 and 901 paired up for the first time in years to lead the season's final North Pole Express excursion. Here they're getting underway from the station as they depart Lebanon, OH with the 1400 train.

Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son?

Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?

Don't stare too long your head will spin! I love this little lake I pass on my way home (if i take the scenic route!)

Another Central London telephone box (two together!) depth of field shot.

Five LED spotlights in dark room, a red dictionary, and the X-Pro 1; raw image processed in Luminar and macOS High Sierra photo editor. This 'camera book' symbolises the correlation or interaction of knowing and seeing. It is just like the Egg-and-Chicken causality dilemma: difficult to determine what comes first.

Sorry - I'll be very late with my visits today....busy busy!

This is called Yarn Bombing... and at the Stony Brook Museum, there are many trees that are covered in this colorful and very time consuming art form...

If you have never heard of this before, I thought I'd share... if you Google Yarn Bombing, you will see this is done all over the world!!

Happy Fly Day Friday have a great weekend folks ;o)

Monarch Butterfly. Taken in Lexington, Kentucky

This is an in-camera double exposure, with added texture, that I took for a photo class. Double exposures are new to me. The Ruebeckia is from my garden.

A year ago at Pungo Lake a bonus was seeing tens of thousands of Snow geese as well as the thousands of Tundra Swans. What fun it was to see them together foraging in corn fields with the relatively sedate Swans lingering in the fields while tens of thousands of Snow geese would intermittently take off explosively and then settle back down into the fields again and again. We were fortunate that the management at this wildlife refuge had just taken down a portion of corn field next to a dirt road so we had front row seats to the late afternoon/evening show. I will post another image showing that spectacle.
