As lovely a view as this is, I'm certain that the farmer would prefer to look out on a green foreground from his pea crop rather than one dominated by the red of poppies!
First poppy field I've seen in ages - and it's only about 3 miles from home.
Pretty hardy plants, a rocky shoreline, dark sand, foamy sea on the way out to the blue south pacific ocean and a cloudy sky.
Printed this but the lower part was a bit too dark ... here's a humorous photo of Frank holding it in the garden :)

The title was inspired by a beautiful song by Joshua Radin.
I am looking forward to seeing him this week in concert.

Another shot with the only decent sky of the week at Widemouth Bay Cornwall, looking towards Black Rock. I love it when skies totally change in a few minutes, you have to work so quickly, dashing around looking for options. Seeing you around is a beautiful track by Georgia Ruth, and suits this beautiful sky really well.
This wooden carving has stood on our living room shelf for a long time now! Depending on lighting it can look either angry or calm, this is definitely on the lock down angsty side!

If Tomorrow Starts Without Me
Empty Chair
I sit alone at a table for two
An empty chair that once belonged to you
It is not just the empty chair
And the table for two
Some days seeing a table for two
I am reminded once more of you
The emptiness I feel all over again
Without you
Despite many years alone
I have become all too accustomed alone at a table for two
Many years have passed sitting alone at a table for two
It is in times of sorrow that a table for two
And the empty chair next to me
That I am saddened once more
It is then that I wish it could be you
In the empty chair next to me once more
Right here next to me
Playing footsies under the table
Squeezing my leg
Touching my finger as if you’re touching me for the first time
That look across the table of
I love you
It will be okay
I think of this world you left behind
It would be unrecognisable to you now
And I thank God in a way
You are set free from the state of this world
I miss you
Seeing a table for two
Just for today
I don’t want to sit once more
At a table for two
With that empty chair next to me
In memory of my beloved who departed this world so young
You are where you are meant to be - and I am where I am meant to be
Until we meet again in all eternity
Forever in my heart

Since the bushfires started, I am seeing new birds in my yard. Birds are smart, they know where free food can be had, even if it's not what they would normally eat. Among them are Lorikeets and honey eaters. They can get a drink in my yard and will take whatever I put out for them. Fresh fruit will be added to the menu.
I fear many brds will die of starvation in the weeks ahead, all the flowering trees and so many insects will have perished, and there will be nothing for the birds to eat.
