Backdrop City
While I never saw a single wildebeest cross the Mara river on my last(or first) trip to the Masai Mara, I was fortunate enough to see multiple small gruops of zebras approach and cross the river while there last summer. There were also several aborted attempts and stops for drinks!

The late summer common buckeye butterflies are larger and a bit more colorful than the ones we see earlier in the year.
The last rays of the sun as it cast's a red glow over the hedgerows and trees. As you look down the hillside you can see the Bristol Channel in the distance and on the horizon the English coast.
These photographs (a long with many others) are for my themed portfolio assignment called 'seeings things'. The images are set to represent visual hallucinations. I'm still learning so bare with me.

Always impressive to see there in Arches National Park is the pretty Double Arch. Here under cloudy conditions.
Space age meets the Matterhorn. Hotel 3100 at 3120 metres has an observatory and amazing views of the Matterhorn. It has a James Bond feel to it!! The only access to this spot is via one of only 50 rack and pinion mountain railways in the world.
