One of the most obscure shortlines of the Midwest has to be the Dakota Southern Railway. Their operational trackage runs from Mitchell, SD to Chamberlain, SD. West of Chamberlain looks to be car storage currently. With only three customers on line the DSCR doesn't operate often or run on a schedule currently, one has to be lucky to catch an SD9 running over this ex MILW trackage.

About to enter the Great Harbour Greenock
It seems to be appropriately named being based in the Great Harbour at Greenock on the Clyde
Support Ship supporting the main Royal Navy Fleet and doing several tasks in various naval ports around the UK and sometimes takes forays to overseas ports such as Gibraltar.

Here we have a couple of shots of SD Northern River which is an offshore supply ship, operated by Serco Marine Services, on contract to the Royal Navy. Her duties involve target towing during naval training exercises, noise ranging and data gathering, as well as serving as a submarine escort.

SD Oronsay makes her way to her berth within the Great Harbour in Greenock whilst in the background is the large 88,853grt bulker 'Cape Elise' at anchor awaiting her transit into Inchgreen Dock. The tug alongside the bulker is the 'Kestrel' and the Argyll Hills as a fine backdrop.
