This had a whole bunch of techniques on it. I can't even remember them all, but some were inverted; oil paint; confetti; splash; twist; contrast and saturation.

Was in several GREEN on Thursday groups, but needs more type of groups than just GREEN
Tree shapes are fascinating. I can see anything I want to see in them.
I chose a map location near but not precisely where these trees were.

If you like my word "rainting" I would appreciate it if you would go to Urban Dictionary and vote in the square for thumb's up. Even if it only got 5 or 10 thumb's up and no thumbs down, I would appreciate it. I don't think it has any certain amount it has to get to be in their dictionary. In fact, if I read it correctly, it already got approved and is in.
I don't like to put live links too often but here is a link you can use, I think. There is no prize either, just bragging rights to have a word I coined make it into a dictionary. ;o)

Leaburg Dam is in Lane County, Oregon USA. It restrains the flow of the McKenzie River.
For the Small Town America (pool), Leaburg Dam isn't even exactly in a town, but not too far from Leaburg and Vida, Oregon, USA. The population is about 7 trout and a rowboat. (grin)

The original image I took was in March of 2014. This surreal image I made from it was done July 31, 2016. This is painterly now, but was a very real barn and fence and gates with lovely trees and grasses on a beautiful day.
I was going to say something like "Old Barn on Drugs" as a title, but decided I will use that type of title again some day, but for now it is kind of trite. Then I thought of a facetious one, "Not Exactly Poltergeists" and decided I don't know enough about Poltergeists to know what I am talking about. Lastly I decided that the painterly, surreal effects I used, made it look to me like they were all waving goodbye. So, there you have it!

This image is of the poor Autumn trees ~ so very confused as to their roles in this seasonal dance.

This is a test. First medium to large size picture of a kitten I have posted in quite awhile. Here is the tiny comment extortion part. He gets three nice comments by 7 P. M. Pacific Standard Time, or I reduce him down really tiny and he goes into my "Tiny Cat Pix Comment Extortion (set)." (9852superflyadorabletabbykittenclosein)

For Dave C. and other Flickr friends too., the *soul of this one is I had the fun of extorting nice comments from people, nothing criminal, mind you, just fun. That was over a decade ago.
Aquarell painterly effect on my photo.
Scio is pronounced like a *Sigh* of Relief and then *Oh*, like Oh, what a pretty creek.

I live in Springfield, Lane County, Oregon USA. The bus says SPFD, which is short for Springfield.

For Dave C. and other Flickr friends, I think the *soul* of this image was that I was just trying to capture the rain and the beautiful blue colors. I wasn't trying to make it anything it wasn't.
(DSCN2761) I enhanced original on June 18, 2020 and replaced it. That means I'll be taking out of my Unprecedented album.
New file name is:

This shot is more ordinary. Of the last two I have submitted earlier this month (May 2018), one was inverted/negative and one was HDR. I think each of the variations has some good points.

For Dave C. and other Flickr friends, too., the *soul* of this one is I got a devilish urge to joke with all of you and say that I strained my back and had to bring in a wench and scoop loader type thing to move 2 of these grown trees. Replanting them with their size was not easy. They had grown in a place and way that didn't fit my perception of an image where they were all nicely in a row marching toward Green Peak and the sunset. It was expensive! And, the people who owned that property weren't too thrilled with me re-routing their trees. Almost anything for a photo, though, and everything for a laugh.
Notice: No trees were moved, my back wasn't hurt and my wallet is fine. I'm pulling your legs, all of 'em.

I'd almost be willing to bet you didn't notice the horse in the bottom left corner.

The colorful quilt-like art was hanging at Riverbend Hospital in Springfield, Lane County, Oregon USA and was someone else's artwork. I took a photo of part of it and gave my photo an impressionistic technique. I like the way it turned out.

This is the first temple that our tuk-tuk scammer brought us to. So pretty! What's that? You know a secret local store where we can buy tailored suits? Well that sounds too good to be true!
This is a two-tone pink & cerise rhododendron in the rain. I'd be happy to explain Raintings if you ask.
This was in my unprecedented album at first because it had no groups or albums, no title besides the file number, and either very few or no tags at all. Now it is more like what I try to do with most of my images (May 23, 2020) and I'm unsure whether or not to remove it from unprecedented.

At one time in the past, this had 10 faves, but not now. Maybe some people quit Flickr. I don't know. <--------- I wrote this April 10, 2020. I'm going to add it to more groups and see if I can get it back up to 10 or more faves.
This is similar to one I posted in the last couple of weeks, but not the same.
That is a filbert orchard during an ice storm. Filberts are also called Hazelnuts and they are the Oregon State Nut. I should probably call the Dept. of Agriculture and find out if the freeze ruined all of the crop or just part of none of it. I don't know how much cold they can survive.

This started life as a rather ordinary photo of a section of chain links.

This is a different version of the same trees right before this. Which one do you like better, that is if you like either one at all. :o)
I'm going to put them in my Comparison & Resemblance set.
By the way, there was no actual fire here, forest or otherwise. I just thought my slide looked a bit like there was.

This is in honor of his 44th birthday, today, September 13, 2015.. He was just 2½ years old in this photo. I posted this photo on Flickr 10 years ago, but I don't think that once every decade is too often.
This is a real child in a real mailbox, when we had just installed it. I went outside to take a photo of it, and got the brilliant idea to stick him in there. We had just moved to Oregon.
For the Small Town America (pool), I don't know what the population of Veneta, Oregon was in 1974, but I think it was such a small town that for a fire department, they had six midgets with a WaterPik®.

For Dave C. and other Flickr friends, I think the *soul of this photo is his obvious glee at being in the mailbox, and that he will be 50 years this year (2021) and we all still enjoy the picture.
For Dave C. and other Flickr friends, the *soul* on this one is it received 10 faves and 66 views before it was in a single group or album, and it also had zero tags at the time. Thank-you all.

In this short story, a retired college professor finds himself the victim of an Internet scammer who takes advantage of his pride and arrogance to make a handsome killing.

This has not been PhotoShopped in any way. It is what my title bar says. It is something that is just kind of fun to own.
This was hand held, it was raining, and I was trying to hurry before he flew away. I've gotten some good shots of Red-Wing Blackbirds before, and also the Yellow-Headed ones, but never this close.
